And yet, despite being unfinished, it has a keybind set anyway.

Re: Anyone use the Steam controller/does the game accept the Steam controller as a controller?

It works fine, YL supports both gamepad and mouse simultaneously so aside from native steam controller api stuff you can use its aspects to the fullest. Also for your issue with other games have you setup edge spin in other game profiles? Because thats what you're describing and it is an option alre...

Re: Nintendo should REALLY think about locking this project up!

I hope that never happens. Playtonic becoming exclusive to any one platform wouldn't do much more than limit who can play their games.

Re: Feedback - Camera

Yeah the camera really needs some work done, movement has some higher priority for changing the camera than manual camera control. Its really a strange thing seeing that the toybox has better camera control IMO. I'd love to see them do what neir automata has with a slider for how aggressive or relax...

Re: POLL: Playtonic Kart Racer + Online Multiplayer

Online play would definitely be an important feature. Local play is great though often unused by me, and shouldn't be cursed to obscurity the way its been headed, but local and online play aren't mutually exclusive. A game whose focus is some kind of competitive play should try to add online today. ...

Technically, yes. Even if switch controllers aren't supported directly by YK you can use programs like inputmapper for x360ce to do so.

Re: KickStarter Wii-U Backer

Do you own any of the consoles it's coming out on? I also wouldn't want to sit at a shitty pc screen to play this game. dont forget it plugs into a tv That's not practical. Who would want a huge pc in their living room. That's what mini itx is useful for. Besides you could always hide the pc inside...

Unless they've stated otherwise, its probably still activated through steam. Most modern physical pc games are just isntallation discs that authenticate with whichever client, such as steam or origin, they use.

Nice. Its cool to see speedruns having taken off even before the games released. I'm quite looking forward to seeing YL run at a GDQ event. Maybe it'll even make it to SGDQ 2017! :D

Re: How do you guys feel on the swimming part of the game?

I don't think there is any way to change swimming behavior. The only problem I have is that going up or down isn't smooth. You move too much with a single button press. Honestly I think it might be a nice idea to have up and down mapped to the triggers so you could have a slight pull to slowly angle...

Re: Let's Talk Swimming

I think I'd be perfectly fine with this type of control if you ascended/descended only while the buttons are pressed. It just doesn't feel smooth to move up or down so much with a single press and release of the buttons. Also I feel the camera is just a bit too close, though I don't mind the fish-ey...

Re: High Refresh rate monitor issues

Yeah thats the same thing I've noticed. The game seems to be reporting the intended fps (90/120/144) while the game is actually running lower. Is there any benefit to anything above 60Hz at all? Is the difference visible or noticable in any way? (Curious) Yes, though how big of a difference is based...

Re: Toybox feedback & discussion thread (SPOILERS)

is it frame capped at 60? Do note that the following has been done with a variable refresh rate, specifically gsync, monitor not a standard 60 or 120/144hz display. In my experience, it may actually be capped at 50fps. I spent around an hour messing about trying various things like forcing vsync off...

Re: Toybox feedback & discussion thread (SPOILERS)

A bit short(ok maybe not in hindsight), and I'm sure repeating what others have said, but so far I've only got a couple of things to say. First, thank you for knowingly(or not) allowing the game to use both controller and mouse inputs simultaneously. Using my steam controller I prefer having the rig...

Here's a comment that I posted in a PC Gamer article, regarding Phil Spencer and his stance on PC gaming : I'll be interested if AND ONLY IF, Microsoft decides to separate ALL of the games that are in the Windows Store, and decides to put them in a Steam/GOG.com-like app called Windows Game Store, ...

Re: Xbox One to be MS's last "true" console, Phil Spencer hints

With their current push of exclusives to pc(quantum break and gears of war ultimate edition) I'm hoping that this IS microsoft coming through on their promise to take pc gaming seriously, and that they do it right. So far its not been amazing, but they are acknowledging this. I'm just hoping they ca...
