Things that made you laugh

For starters the aristocratic corplet's dialogue. I liked how he politely berated the duo and his own kind. I hope to see more of him in the future.

Re: How The Chameleon met the Bat

My own personal theory, going with the meta theme of the current game, is that Yooka might be a rookie or failed 90s platformer hero. The kind who was a Sonic-like guy with an attitude, spinning moves, and a disturbingly human-like or human "girlfriend" (who inevitably leave him on the ne...

Re: Yooka-Laylee Collector’s Boxie

So beautiful ! I'd prefer to buy an amiibo though, smaller but a lot less expansive. I'm undecided, do you think they'll release an amiibo later (yeah I know they need to release the game on switch first)? How long before this one gets sold out ? I'm not really into amiibos so I wouldn't know, but ...

I don't know, it may be beter left to the imagination. I'll rather learn how that pirate ship ended up there.

Re: Cuphead - coming side-scroller inspired by 30s cartoons

The game is out and for what I've seen the wait was wortth it. They really nailed the style and it seems to be hard but in a good, challanging way.

Finally!! A date!!

It looks beautiful.

Between this game and Bendy and the Ink Machine I can see early Golden Age animation (especially Fleischer's) getting a boost in popularity.

Edit: Whoa it's been a year.

Re: New Fighing project future

I so want them to try a platform fighting game. Think of Super Smash Bros and Digimon Rumble Arena. It's a subgenre that needs more love.
Not to mention Yooka and Laylee would be perfect as unlockable characters.

Re: Why was the story so bland and uninteresting?

I would like to wager that YL are more interesting than we think: They're pirates! Their motivation - pillaging. Think about it. They live on a crashed pirate ship, Laylee is concerned with the price she can get with the special book. They essentially break into a business and steal all the goodies...

Re: Let's talk about Nuts & Bolts

Leaving the gameplay aside for a moment, I've seen fans feel attacked by the plot of the game, particularly the opening sequence, but I think it was cute how meta the game tried to be and it wouldn't be BK without self-deprecation... HOWEVER, I think a serious problem with the game was the character...

Re: Unbelievable flaw

I haven't been able to get past the opening cinematic because my computer so far can't handle it, so I've been playing the mini games instead and I love them. They are hard and frustrating and that's the point, because arcades were like that. They wanted to make you spend as many coins as possible b...

Re: Cheapest Computer That Will Run

Today I tested the game on a fairly old laptop to see how it would run and it played very nicely granted the settings had to be turned down slightly and the resolution set to 1600x760 but still looked fine. http://m.ebay.com/itm/162461856907?_trksid=p2385738.m2548.l4275&_mwBanner=1 I put a link...

Re: Yooka Laylee freezing and crashing in cinematic

There is an "exclusive mode" that can be selected when opening the game from steam, it supposedly runs better that way. While it hasn't worked for me yet, it may be because my pc is pretty bad, so you may want to try it out yourself.

Re: have a confession

As already said, these games make one feel like a kid and enjoying them later in life shows they are timeless. I'm looking forward to playing YL since if I love it then it can't be said I'm blinded by nostalgia or anything.

Re: POLL: Playtonic Kart Racer + Online Multiplayer

Not making it online would be a waste in this age of internet videos and streaming. Being Playtonic's hypothetical second game would mean they could use the atention, especially since I'm sure the game would be full of surprises to make it stand out.

Re: Early first Spoiler free review is in! 8/10

The mumbling voices can be used for comedic effect, BK for example used burps for Captain Blubber and sexy sounds for Game-Over-Gruntilda. Wonder if we'll have stuff like that with YL.

Let's talk about Nuts & Bolts

https://i.ytimg.com/vi/aLJxp2LZSRI/maxresdefault.jpg I've never played it myself. I first saw it in a store and was surprised that it existed, I later learned on the internet that it was about cars. I never cared about car games so didn't think much about it. It wasn't until Jontron's famous video ...
