Possible bugs found

One of them is a weird swimming animation. Rather than treading water or swimming it's like you're jumping up and down very quickly and repeatedly. This happened in Hivory Towers most notably beside the Kirkhope pagie. The second happened happened in the Icymetric Palace. When jumping on the platfor...

Re: The music was good, but not what I was expecting

I think the music is good and some of it feels very Banjo like. There are sounds I miss though from the 64 and what I really liked about Grant's that we didn't really get this time was the sound effects within the music. Like the birds and chimps in jungle japes in DK64, the owls etc in Mad Monster ...

Re: Let's talk about Nuts & Bolts

The game was alright, I'd at a push say it was good. If banjo wasn't on it i wouldn't have went near it. Very much a game that isn't a banjo game, infact it just annoys me how much it isn't after the wait from banjo tooie. I don't even count it as a sequel. Yooka-Laylee is what i wanted the next ba...

Re: A list of Issues I Have with the game.

Fully agree on the minecart sections and the bosses. Also, besides your criticism of glass and ice, it often occured to me that I tried to break glass with Laylee's Sonar 'splosion, just to find that it had to be broken with another move I would learn a bit later. There was no real logic behind whe...

Re: A list of Issues I Have with the game.

I love the game and as you say, Playtonic did a fantastic job. I agree the hub is too complex and needs simplified. I love Rextro as a character but his games are annoying, frustrating and I hate playing them. The swimming controls i wish were more like N64 Not a fan of the roll move, it's good for ...

Re: Why was the story so bland and uninteresting?

I've 100% completed the game. Overall liked it alot. Will almost certainly pick up a a sequel if it's ever made. I found the majority of critics complaints to be almost completely unfounded. One thing I can't help but to feel very disappointed with was the weak story line and characters lack of per...

Rewards for Rextro arcade completion?

Hey guys. I've been playing Rextro's games but most i unfortunately find frustrating and a bit too much on the unenjoyable side (i think its the amount of them more than anything). I was wondering is it worth completing them all in the arcade in Hivory Towers? What's the reward? I'm assuming finishi...

Re: An easy way to improve Rextro's Minigames

I feel the high scores are too high also. And the games are too long too. Rextros games are just annoying now unfortunately. I almost feel im not playing the game now because i am playing them thst much just to get them finally done. I hate them so far.

I really never liked the reptile roll move. It was the most annoying thing about the Toybox. The talon trot is so much better

I agree Taylor, although I imagine part of the team are at least planning the next game by now. Exciting times!

Re: Why isn't Switch version development number one priority?

Having said that, I feel it must be difficult for Playtonic to openly communicate with backers because they've kickstarted it and to be as transparent as they have been presents plenty of challenges and difficulty to please everyone, so I cut them some slack :D After all, they're producing a game I ...

Re: Why isn't Switch version development number one priority?

Who knows. Reluctantly I have to say that could have perhaps been handled better but I am personally delighted it is coming to Switch while I understand those who don't and have a Wii U would be annoyed. I am happy to wait with Breath of the Wild still fresh in my hands, but I do wonder myself. I ca...

Re: N64 graphics

Is it bad that I hope for a graphical N64 style game and perhaps setting the limitations of it such as the size of the levels i.e. the structure and general size of Banjo levels? I would love a game like that but allowing the developers the freedom of todays memory so the likes of the likes of music...

Re: Early reviews

Madness. This is a world were Call of Duty gets a 10/10, but I would never rate it on the same scale as a Zelda game like Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild. Playtonic in my eyes have delivered what they said they'd do, provide a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie. I'm not sure what people were...

Re: POLL: Playtonic Kart Racer + Online Multiplayer

I would be up for a kart racer. Something different to Mario Kart, kind of like diddy Kong but different. Probably best to avoid strange racing styles though. Planes were alright in Diddy Kong Racing but a different story in Banjo Pilot. I'd quicker go back to Mario Kart 64 than Diddy Kong Racing no...

Intereting about the shaders vs polygons. I can't imagine the difference at the moment. Hopefully it turns out true to likeness.

Thank you :D so glad to hear that. I should have probably known that but I'm skipping a lot of news about Yooka-Laylee to avoid as many spoilers as i can. Since after the first trailer it has felt like I am watching someone play through the game lol. :geek:

Re: Banjo-Kazooie or Banjo-Tooie?

Kazooie for me. Tooie was great but too big, complex beyond intuition too often and Mumbo's role was quite limited having reflected last year playing through it. Kazooie had less frustration i guess you could say. i loved both but I am with grant kirkhope. Too big really. Plus when they say about Ba...
