Re: DLC information question

Honestly these are one of the "criticism" that I'm gonna have to disagree. Some people love large worlds, mainly because it makes adventure greater. It wouldn't be fair to stifle that and make every level to the size of Mumbo's Mountain just so some people can "get stuff over with&quo...

Re: Ideas for worlds

How about a mine/mountain/canyon world? Just a mountain doesn't sound so exciting, but mixing it with a canyon, with a lot of mines sound fun. It would fit kartos in the level too, and the main area is outside, but with lot's of caves and mines. DKC and DKC2 had mines and mixing an outside with an i...

Re: Jon Jafari (JonTron) and his role in Yooka-Laylee

I know a company has every right to fire someone from their job unless it violates discrimination laws and/or other laws, but that doesn't mean they can't be criticize. Freedom of Speech may have consequences (some people use that as an excuse to be hypocritical) but the reaction to it also has it t...

Re: Toybox feedback & discussion thread (SPOILERS)

I just played it.. though my PS3 controller isn't supported very well. :( I also noticed that Yooka Laylee has no shadow at all. I'm not talking about the blob shadow that appears when jumping, I'm talking about the realistic one. It doesn't show anywhere I go so far.. is this because mine is not +...

Re: E3 trailer by Playtonic

That's amazing! 5 worlds is a bit worrying but they look so huge, maybe bigger than Banjo Tooie! The only thing that bothered me (it's probably just me) was the lack of shadowing under the characters. Sure at times I can see a small blob shadow but sometimes I noticed it's not there (and weirdly mov...

Re: Edge magazine material analytics

Sadly it's not possible for me to download off the Play Store. I don't live in the UK.
I found the website that lets you buy it for your phone or tablet. But I'm not so sure how that works.

Banjo Tooie also used some left out stuff though.. but I see.
I should probably watch the interview sometime.

For all 3, I mainly understand now. Thanks for the info! ;)

Re: Toybox(++)

it's a bit too soon The intended release window has been October 2016 since the beginning of the Kickstarter, so that's not a new release plan. Can be seen under the section titled "The Budget" on the original Kickstarter. Yeah.. but that was kinda like my problem. I felt like if the game...

Re: Toybox(++)

So the game it's self is still being released this year?
While that sounds exciting, I also think it's a bit too soon.. Didn't they just started the game somewhere early 2015?
What about the extra feedback given too?

Re: Things that you DO NOT want in this game.

What I don't want: Over-the-shoulder camera. - I won't care if it's a secondary option though Player feeling like a tank - I want the movement to feel light similar to Banjo Kazooie, the person from Shadow of the Colossus, and some other. I do NOT want it to feel like a delayed player similar to so...

Re: Toybox(++)

Right now the only way I'm aware of to get the Toybox++ is by having pledged enough for one of the reward tiers that comes with it. I believe it was possible for a while to upgrade your pledge via Backerkit but the survey responses have since been locked so that's no longer an option. The only ones...

Re: Toybox(++)

Don't want to be annoying but I realized I only got the basic Toybox and not the better one..
Is it possible that some time in the future, there could be a way to get Toybox ++? Like if there was a price for it for example other than the pledge (That's not too late..).

Re: Could Yooka-Laylee finally beat Donkey Kong 64's record (please)?

I think that's a good point: That the problem is not because of having so much, but rather on how you get them. DK64 did a poor job on that, causing so much backtrack and all. I still loved DK64 though because I was a huge fan of exploration and the music. I don't know if I want so much to collect i...

Re: Apparently we need this forum feature.

That really depends. First I like to say that 30 days seems a little short and at the same time, there are certain threads (especially pinned threads) that should always be open for a possibility, let's say for example, to be up to date about information.. For example, a thread like this for example...

Re: POI - A New 3D Platformer

Well, looks like this project will fail. A lot of people thought that Poi was actually ripping off of The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker and Super Mario 64. It's a shame, really. Because I thought that if were going to have another 3D platformer for the WiiU, I would've said the more, the merrier. Whe...

Re: What happened to A Hat in Time?

A Hat in Time is either my first favorite reviving 3D platformers. Or second. It's still alive, and may get released in late 2015 or early 2016. If not, I wouldn't be that surprised. I guess it was delayed due to the extra content they need to add to it thanks to backers (not in a bad way!). http:/...
