Re: YL Switch Speculation Thread

At this moment, nobody can deny anymore that this is taking WAY TOO LONG... Fact. Disagree. I think it is taking as long as it needs to (ie. I don't think they are deliberately dawdling) for them to do it properly and make sure they get out as many bugs as possible. Doesn't mean I don't wish...

Re: YL Switch Speculation Thread

I just can't understand that you guys are even talking/thinking about a physical version atm, while we don't know anything about the digital version yet... That's even surpassing the 'wishful thinking' stage... Just because the Switch game isn't finished yet and they haven't told us much abo...

Re: YL Switch Speculation Thread

It's still that case that YL on Nintendo Switch will be digital only, right? For Kickstarter backer rewards they said they could only do digital Switch versions due to cost and logistics. But when asked, they've said that they do want to release physical Switch retail copies. So maybe it's just wis...

YL is not even listed.. :')

The Nindies showcase is not untill tomorrow. Not to mention, I think it's up to Nintendo to decide what goes into these things.

Maybe Nintendo also don't want to draw attention to a game that could compete with Mario Odyssey?

Re: Funding the Next Game

Mostly I wish them to be able to fund the next game themselves, just to get rid of any obligations towards potential backers. They should keep quiet if they want to and take all the time they need to polish it up. I agree, I hope they can fund their next game themselves. They started Playtonic Game...

Re: Cancelled?

Wowww.. Yes, you are exaggerating! ;P I didn't read THAT kind of stuff and sometimes people get a little to emotional (incl. me), but PTG should understand that (I think). I followed every bit of news since the 'Mingy Jongo' Twitter account days, till now. I backed them for (quite) a lot of money +...

Re: Playtonic: What we Want to Hear About

'As our first significant game update nears completion, we will soon be entering the Nintendo Switch-specific testing phase. And hopefully, if our test team doesn’t break it too badly, we’ll be in a position to deliver you a final release date shortly after.' They announced THIS (^) just before the...

Re: Cancelled?

Be realistic/fair and admit that their approach for their next game should be TOTALLY different. ;) I have no disagreement with that as they haven't exactly been forthcoming with the information and I think they really need to get someone in next time to specialise in PR. The drama I'm talking abou...

Re: Cancelled?

I think you're starting to get a bit worked up there, Shan. ;) True, because there are a few specific people on these boards who are negative all the time and seem to enjoy making drama, which makes the place miserable, and then people wonder why the boards are always dead. There is a difference be...

Re: Cancelled?

How did you even get "Playtonic might renege on free DLC" just because the last update didn't specify a Switch release date? That is a zero logical sense conclusion to make. They will give us more information when they have certain information to give, so it would be nice if people would s...

Re: Playtonic: What we Want to Hear About

Makes me feel a bit better knowing that it may well have been mere fears getting in the way of what they were actually trying to communicate. Yeah I guess I can understand that if there's been a bad experience in the past (ie. Wii U cancellation), that those emotions and fears can colour how new in...

Re: Playtonic: What we Want to Hear About

(I can't help, but feel like they (PTG) are slacking off...) Wow, that is so rude! It's unbelievable that you can consider it "slacking off" when they've been working on the console patch - which in their latest update they said they improved on from the PC patch after feedback fr...

I just saw on Playtonic's Twitter that they replied to someone asking when the patch will release that it'll be very, very soon, they're just waiting for final confirmation.

Patience. The already released versions were Playtonic's guinea pigs, which they are now fixing. And any improvements they add to those versions are going to be standard in the Switch version from day one, so I'm quite happy to wait for them to fix up the other versions first and get all the proble...

They should keep the original music for when you play in the 64-bit shader mode.

Re: Zelda - Breath of the Wild and green tunics [slight spoilers]

I just downloaded the free update from the Nintendo eStore that allows you to change the voice acting language. No more annoying too-posh-too-old-for-17 sounding English Zelda, now Zelda speaks Japanese. :D
