Re: Quills.. Where are you...

Tribalstack Tropics has a really trollish quill hidden in it. I had a laugh when I saw it! I'm thinking it might be that one that eludes you...or it could be a really obvious one that you just keep missing. God knows I had a ton of moments like those.

Re: Long time Rare adventure/platform game fan constructive (I hope!) critcism

Hm...I'll agree that the camera is a tad wonky but I never really had any huge issues with it. If push comes to shove then it's usually enough to press the R button/bumper/R1(? never played the PS4 version) to center the camera behind me or hold it down to have it constantly follow Yooka. It's hones...

Re: Is 5 Worlds Enough?

Yeah I can see what you mean. It didn't bother me too much since the game is still longer than the likes of BK and has much more fleshed out worlds, but there's also the consequence of having less variety when it comes to environments. I still feel that Tooie did this best by having more worlds that...

Re: Playtonic's next project

I really want to see Tooka-Laylee and that Perfect Dark and Diddy Kong racing successor at some point but I also want to just see what the team can do without any expectations. With Yooka-Laylee, the team's creativity was somewhat bound by the past and what people expected of them and, having delive...

Re: Ambient Noise in Video Games

This is a gospel I've been preaching for ages. Absolutely agree to 100% on this one! Remember the laughter in the ballroom or the weird moaning in the catacombs in DK64? Music and sounds are the key factors to creating an excellent atmosphere.

Re: Cheating/breaking the game to skip segments...

I actually jumped and attacked in the air to skip the slippery slope before Hivory towers and thus skipped the tutorial section. I found a bunch of minor skips while playing, actually, and it gave me a kick to figure those out. Don't feel like they detracted from the game so I'd say leave them in. L...

Re: Thank you Playtonic

I ended up playing for 13 hours straight with only a single bathroom break. Hah no way! I did the exact same thing for pretty much that exact amount of hours. I had stayed up until 1 AM just to play it upon release in my region...y'know I was gonna try it for a little bit. From that point I played ...

Re: Constructive feedback from someone loving the game

Agree to some of these! I didn't personally find Rextro's music to be that bad though but that's probably a very individual thing. I'm failing to remember the door that was tricky to find at the moment. I didn't have any problems with finding my way, personally, but I'm also the super explorative ty...

An in-depth review/feedback/something *SPOILERS*

I haven't posted much on this forum as I've been waiting for the game to come out. I know there's a discussion thread but this is gonna be fairly lengthy and full of spoilers so I figured that it might not belong in a place where someone may accidentally read it while browsing the thread. If this is...

Re: Toybox feedback & discussion thread (SPOILERS)

*Getting stopped when collecting a quill. What I loved about the older games was that it told you what it was without stopping the player. This was intentional for Toybox as we needed players to see both the Quill and Treasure Chest tutorials without them overlapping. That's...funny how you solved ...

Re: Toybox feedback & discussion thread (SPOILERS)

Inept asked me to go here and leave feedback and even though he is my sworn mortal enemy for removing all the other organics from the toybox I will be nice to him just this once: Positives: I really loved the feel of it. I had to play with a keyboard sadly but even so I still got the hang of it quic...
