Re: POLL: Playtonic Kart Racer + Online Multiplayer

It's a no brainer to me. Not sure why it's even being discussed or polled. An online multiplayer would only enhance the game and if done well would be a serious boost to the game. We're not living in 1995 anymore.

Re: gameXplain's terrible review

I suggest you take off your fanboy goggles, take a breather and try to calm down. I know you find it hard to accept that people have criticisms of the game, but they do. The points made in that review are valid points. If you love the game so much then mind your own business and play it. You cannot ...

Re: Vehicles? I hope not. (spoilers)

Example: An emperor penguin that has the ability to keep its breath underwater and swim faster, able to explore deep under water caverns and withstand freezing cold temperatures. Or... a snow plow vehicle. :| Yeah... sorry to say but this pales in comparison to Banjo Kazooie. Even without comparison...

Re: Vehicles? I hope not. (spoilers)

Of all the transformations we could have had, Playtonic chose boring vehicles that feel barely meaningful. They didn't learn from Nuts and Bolts lol? Coupled with even worse controls than the main characters, I don't think this is good for the game.

Re: WHY can't Playtonic Games explain why they can't announce a Switch date?

Why can't people understand that they don't need it for the switch? Nintendo are a different company than 20 years ago - different employees, different ideas, etc etc. Playtonic have nothing to do with Nintendo, stop giving Nintendo credit for things they didn't do. But sure, gimp yourself by buyin...

Re: Let's Talk Swimming

The swimming controls from Banjo Kazooie/Tooie are the best. Yooka-Laylee should follow the same path in this case. In the opening stages of the game Yooka should swim like Banjo did in BK, then they should learn a move that allows Laylee to help with the swimming, like in Tooie. If they wanted to i...

Re: Not very happy

When you talk about whiny brats you are only talking about yourself, kid. Your post is pure salt. Too damn right I expect not to have to pay £20 to upgrade to a physical copy, that's way over priced, backer or no backer. And no, backers do not deserve that slap in the face of a £20 upgrade. There's...

Re: Difficulty level in Yooka-Laylee

I honestly don't expect it to be very difficult. BK and BT are trivial now that I'm older, but I still enjoy the experience greatly. These games are fun to do the collecting, but the thing that'll bring you back over and over is really the quality of the universe built and the characters. Yeah I ag...

Re: Vehicles? I hope not. (spoilers)

Well I'll got spoiled through a Tweet (with a screenshot of said transformation), which Playtonic favorited (and therefore showed up in my timeline). So I muted them whole, Kickstarter updates will be enough for new info, I guess. Anyway: I felt also a bit negative towards this transformation, but ...

Re: Not very happy

+£20 is an absolute joke and shows huge disrespect to those backers - it should have been free. These are the people who have funded your project, Playtonic. No, expecting it to be free is YOU being disrespectful and entitled! I can't believe you'd even have the cheek to think that! ...

Re: Vehicles? I hope not. (spoilers)

A) vehicles aren't a bad thing. See Tooie. B) something reminding you of nuts and bolts is also not a bad thing. Don't forget who made that game. C) we don't know the rest of the transformations (AND I HOPE IT STAYS THAT WAY) I don't necessarily think they are a bad thing in general. It's when they...

Re: Vehicles? I hope not. (spoilers)

As long as Yooka doesn't spend 90% of the game being something other than promised like Nuts and Bolts was. Yooka is a pure 3D platformer. Nuts and Bolts was... anything BUT a platformer. Big difference. Transformations, whether they resemble vehicles, animals, objects or whatever simply add some v...

Re: Vehicles? I hope not.

Banjo had vehicle transformations before Yooka and Nuts & Bolts so I honestly don't see what the fuss is about, seriously. Don't nit-pick over such trivial things. :/ I disagree. The transformations are a big part of the game and definitely not a nit pick. You could only find 2 examples out of ...

Re: Tinfoil Hat Time

No. Just no. There's no reason why Playtonic, a new studio looking to make an impression, would abandon two huge platforms and audiences with the Xbox One and PS4, even for exclusive deals. Nintendo have nothing to do with Playtonic and people need to stop trying to force the two together. This is 2...

Yes Wyvern I remember seeing the plant transformation. This is why I originally thought the snow tractor was just a joke, but seeing the attack helicopter as well raises some doubt.

I agree with this 100%. This is, unfortunately, the way of the world. Vehicles? I hope not. (spoilers)

So I just watched the Capital Cashino 15 minute gameplay, and aside from looking bland I noticed that YL transformed into an attack helicopter. Also we can see that YL can transform into a snow tractor in the ice level. Does YL transform into a vehicle for most of the levels? . So ok it was kinda fu...

Yooka-Laylee Toybox Feedback

My biggest bug after trying out the toybox was the design of the character interaction. Laylee being on top of Yooka's head felt weird. When you compare this to Banjo, he felt like his own character while you were platforming and Kazooie came out when necessary. In Banjo they originally only had Ban...
