Re: Why So Much Hate???

Frankly, I'm just sad that the overwhelmingly negative feedback from every source may have killed the franchise and certainly ruined any chances of Yooka-Laylee ever reaching its full potential. Yes, the game is flawed but I found it to be a pleasant surprise and better than what I expected. Though ...

Re: How The Chameleon met the Bat

I bet no one will read or care about this... (especially given that the 'audience' is drowning in cynism and have probably completely discouraged Playtonic by now...) But well, here's a shot in the dark. I think it could be interesting, actually. My own personal theory, going with the meta theme of ...

Re: 3-Butterfly Challenge

The big problem is that frankly, Yooka-Laylee just plain isn't very challenging. And that's a shame given how I'm one of the few who actually enjoyed spots like the Gloomy Gem Grotto (pre-nerf) or the Hivory Towers slide. There just isn't much in the way of areas that actually demand you use your ch...

Re: Update Impressions!

... given what was just said about areas becoming easier... Well, so much for looking forward to the update. I'll stick with the old version ; it's not like Yooka-Laylee was the hardest game to begin with and I was actually upset that it had so few sections that actually dared to challenge the playe...

Re: What I love about Yooka Laylee

I bet I will be boo-ed at... But I really loved Yooka-Laylee's platforming and frankly, I regret there wasn't more areas like Gloomy Gem Grotto and the Hivory Towers slide that really tested my skills. I actually would love the addition of a special world entirely around using abilities to their max...

Re: Mew's picturesque Yooka-Laylee sketch junkyard

Hey people! Guess what? I actually did start a new fanart series about our favorite, hapless, and witless interspecies duo! Actually, I started more than one but I shall not show the other one on this site... Anyway! Here it comes! --------------------------------------------------------------------...

Re: Mew's picturesque Yooka-Laylee sketch junkyard

Nice one Mew! Oooh! I thought of the perfect suggestion! (I hope you can draw Banjo and Kazooie, don't know if you can as it involves them.) What if Yooka and Laylee met Banjo and Kazooie? I've always wondered how they'd react if they met each other, since I doubt Playtonic would ever have that act...

Re: Mew's picturesque Yooka-Laylee sketch junkyard

With those next three sketches, this thread will have caught up, for the most part, with most of my art galleries when it come to Yooka-Laylee sketches. This is not to say that I won't post more sketches (especially if I get funny or cute ideas from suggestions) but the posting rate will definitely ...

Re: Mew's picturesque Yooka-Laylee sketch junkyard

@Capital B I am so glad that you like my sketches! And well, I didn't exactly draw a mini-comic of that but I did do a few mini-comics regarding the whole pants thing. One of them will be featured here today! Hope you like it! @Yuke Quantum One might definitely say that. I just enjoy drawing the duo...

Re: Mew's picturesque Yooka-Laylee sketch junkyard

As we all know, Yooka-Laylee was marketted as the return of old-school 3D platformers and like the series that inspired it, feature plenty of adult-oriented jokes. As one might have guessed from my sketches so far, I decided to include plenty of that. In this particular case, our duo decide to check...

Good job. Keep it up! Thank you! I hope people will continue to enjoy my sketches! I got more to show off this fine day! This time, I got two mini-comics featuring our favorite corporate sleazeball! No, not whoever happen to be in charge of Playtonic but rather the villainous CEO of Hivory Towers, ...

No comments? No one to tell me that I should have stuck to Photobucket links? ... hopefully, it isn't because you all disliked my sketches so much that you didn't want to grace them with comments but rather because you all found them so funny that it robbed you of any idea as to how to respond. Mew's picturesque Yooka-Laylee sketch junkyard

So I've been hesitating for the greatest while and well, since I cannot find the official fanart thread (is it dead?) and since I just wanna share my sketches related to Yooka-Laylee, I thought I would create this thread. If I've broken some rule or something, feel free to direct me to the correct t...

Fall damage?

There is one thing I did while experimenting with platforming in some of the worlds of the game and frankly... What is up with all fall damage being equal all the time? I think it's pretty jarring that the duo take damage from falling quite easily... and yet, you can fall from absolutely any height ...

Keyboard & mouse controls (from a PC gamer veteran)

I heard about the game's horrible keyboard controls and while I do have a controller, I and one of my friends decided to experiment to see how they actually worked. And we were surprised. So here is the thing: the game take its cues from classic PC games in terms of its 3D movement, with the mouse c...

Re: How would you have changed the story/ending sequence? [obvious SPOILERS]

I have no idea if the devs are reading the forums and even less if they will notice my humble reply among a myriad of other replies and opinions but well, I think I'll share it here. I am one of the few who were not disappointed with the story in its current incarnation, as I took it as being a deli...

Re: Yooka-Laylee: General Discussion Thread

The eyeballs are extremely vulnerable to Laylee's sonar. It will actually destroy them outright in a lot of cases and if not, they will stay stunned more than long enough for you to combo them into oblivion. Ironically, it's Corplets that will be more problematic later on... Corplets are surprisingl...

Re: Why was the story so bland and uninteresting?

I am not sure if the devs will read this... But frankly? I think it's ironically because the Yooka-Laylee cast and setting has more potential. Yooka, for starters, is from the word go a deeper protagonist than his N64 analogue ; he's not solely defined by being the 'nice guy' of the duo, being more ...

Re: Yooka Laylee difficulty. What do you think?

Actually, I found the final boss to be the hardest.

What I meant is that I found the first boss to be harder than the second and third one initially.

To me, I just feel that the second boss need more attacks and the third boss could use having shorter vulnerability windows.
