Re: Ideas for worlds

Dream/nightmare world, with all kind of weird, out of place things.

To see how that would look go download "#21 the world" you're in for a bizarre experience. Kinda neat.

Re: Wishes For Twooka Laylee (Non official name)

- World building, some lore. Make the levels interesting to explore (Like in Tooie) Jolly Roger Lagoon was interesting. - More indoor areas with their own theme and and characters. - Some more programmed level mechanics, Yooka Laylee kept using the same techniques and puzzles, in Kazooie and Tooie m...

Re: Mysterious sound in World 5

On a side note, why does world 5 has underwater music if you cant go underwater anywhere anyway? (Or can you?) just managed to get my boat form stuck somewhat under the ship, it has unique underwater music now. Edit: lol, you can force the boat form underwater by racing into a ramp near the inept p...

Re: Mysterious sound in World 5

Nah, sometimes it sounds like the space seagulls are more noisy, but that's only because the music has loud and soft parts. They do seem to be sound effects rather than music though, as they don't seem to sound consistently timed with the music. ... On a side note, why does world 5 has underwater mu...

Pacifist run.

Just thought about this,

Given there's a counter that counts the total baddies defeated, how many pagies could one get without killing any?

Re: Mysterious sound in World 5

It's strange that it is louder depending on where you are, and I started the topic because yesterday it was louder than the music itself. It took me some time to realize that it was the game. So I went to the I.N.E.P.T., but on the ship I could barely hear the sound and the robot said the same thin...

Also he says every now and again, a reptile once came through here before, he was obsessed with crystals, what's that a reference to? My first thought was Croc. It might be a little far-fetched but at least he collects crystals. ;) Croc: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/9c/Croc_Legend_of...

Re: Your PERSONAL Yooka-Laylee reviews

How can you complain about the size of the worlds when they aren't much larger than BT's or DK64's? In fact, you move so much faster than Banjo or the Kongs so it cancels out anyways. Man, if I had to give this game a numerical score it would be a 9 out of 10. I'm perplexed that a lot of so-called ...

Re: Yooka Laylee is Nostalgia Gone Wrong

Disagree strongly, I still like Banjo Kazooie and Tooie over Yooka Laylee and there are clear reason why. I recently played several other platformers, one in particular I never played had that samey vibe "Psychonauts" now how can that be nostalgia when I never played it before? Yooka Layle...

My final verdict (shared on Steam as well) Bottom line: As a 3D platformer it is a great game that will keep you occupied for many hours. Pros: - Controls are really dynamic and easy to use. - Challenges will test your platforming skills to the n'th degree - Graphics are really pretty and colorful -...

Re: Favorite World? [Potential World Name/Theme Spoilers]

Capital Cashino works the best imo, I liked it most. It's the only enclosed level that doesn't feel like cloud cuckoo land to me :) wish we had more of those! Please let a notorious president do some level design, we'll have walls!

Re: Yooka Laylee difficulty. What do you think?

Yooka laylee, when having unlocked all moves is an easy game with the occasional challenge. Like... 2/25 per level. The challenges can be outright frustrating for people with no real knowledge and experience with the genre.

I tried letting my girlfriend finish the golf course in the Marsh :)
