Re: A Gameplay Concern

Which is funny because the one who started the definition nitpicking was you, by insisting a blob is only a circle. When you've probably not read a single book on developing platformers. Haha why on earth would I read books about developing platformers? I don't make games nor do I plan to. I admit ...

Inkblobs. https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=ink+blobs&qpvt=inkblobs&qpvt=inkblobs&FORM=IGRE Find some circles in there, please. Exactly lets ignore the whole topic and everything already said and nitpick some more about definitions.. The funny thing is you can find pretty much...

Re: A Gameplay Concern

Help me out here, cause I fail to understand. SM64 had the spooky mansion (dark place) but the blob shadow was there anyway. Well, and all other platformers that had caves in them (caves are supposed to be dark) I mean... Does it have to make sense realistic-wise for a technical mechanic to work pr...

Re: A Gameplay Concern

I mean how dumb would it look Video games are always 100% realistic. Chameleons often run around on two feet with a bat on their back, and then turn into a ball and roll into goblins at high speed. So what does this have to do with realism now? Or are you just arguing for the sake of arguing...

Re: A Gameplay Concern

Which we have already seen exists in some capacity. Go watch the trailers, demos, interviews, etc. Watched all trailers and I only ever saw fixed light sources (sun not moving). If you are referring to the interview where a dev said there would be levels with nighttime, I fail to see how this impli...

Re: A Gameplay Concern

It literally does. A shadow under the player at all times is what is referred to as a blob shadow. A blob shadow does not need to be a circle. I think you should literally look up the definition of "blob". You are saying if I walk outside midday when the sun is at its highest point im cas...

Banjo Tooie had a blob shadow. This is the "orchestral soundtrack" argument all over again.

Nope Tooie had real time shadows. The light source was always from top down, that doesn't make it a blob shadow..

Re: And on the eighteenth* day they said "LET THERE BE IDLE ANIMATIONS!" And it was good.

No way. Only 3 days after a thread asking for idle animations pops up on your forums you announce idle animations. Thanks, I guess. It could just be coincidence, but then what better way to make your fans happy than showing them exactly what they ask for? Love the animation, especially yookas confus...

Idle Animations

Please add some idle animations to Yooka-Laylee. I know this isn't very important from a gameplay perspective but its a nice detail in my opinion. No need to add as many as in conkers bad fur day, a handful would be nice though. Conkers BFD idle animations: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUCr8A4UvI...

Re: What kind of local 4-Player ya hoping for?

Other - no multiplayer

I wouldn't mind if it was added late in development as an extra, like they did in goldeneye. But in my opinion main focus should be on singleplayer.

Re: Yooka needs some clothes

I don't really care if Yooka wears clothes or not. I want the characters to look like Playtonic intended. Its not like Steve Mayles is designing characters for the first time here, I trust he knows what he is doing ;)

Re: Should Laylee be able to transform into a Transylvanian?

Wtf do you mean by Transylvanian? You do realize Transylvania is a historical region in Romania? So by definition every person living in that region is a Transylvanian.. Why would you want to transform into a Romanian anyway?
