Re: Clive N' Wrench Get A Makeover

New trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boAnuuJa2ZY Okay, so I've known about this game for a long time, but never took it seriously before watching this trailer. I have to give the developers props -- it actually looks pretty good! They nailed the nostalgic factor, and parts of that trailer l...

Were there any scrapped ideas for this world that you really liked, but ultimately couldn't include for whatever reason?

Re: Banjo-Kazooie turns 20 today.

I know it's not strictly birthday related (unless you count it as late 20 year anniversary merch?), but I didn't want to create a new topic just for this - is anyone else excited for the Banjo-Kazooie Totaku figurine? https://www.mytotaku.com/Files/FigureImages/28_Banjo-Kazooie-20181015131457039.pn...

Re: "PENNY"

(Cheeky quote to notify the Community Manager) . Hey, Daley, reckon you could try and find out about this 'Penny' for us? Consider it a Community Manager challenge! Bonus quests: 1. Re: Delightful Details

This is such an awesome post by the way! Lots of stuff I didn't know about, or had simply forgotten about. The Dr Quack statue confused me when I first saw it as it's identical to the one underneath Capital B's golden statue, right? So why is there a second one? I thought it might have been some sor...

Re: Physical Yooka-Laylee Switch at "Best Buy"

I was too late to order my copy from Limited Run (and didn't really want to wait for the expected delivery time anyway), so I just downloaded Yooka on Switch a few days ago instead. I would have liked the physical version, but I won't pick it up now that I've gone ahead with the download. I am, howe...

Re: Playtonic's Next Game... Soon? (Speculation)

This image was posted by Playtonic last year, after Yooka's release. The central character looks a bit like Schell , but the silhouette is different. Could this be a tease for the next game that nobody realised, maybe a character from Schell's universe? https://images-ext-1.discordapp.net/external/1...

I don't think they are working on a racer.

Diddy Kong racing had only one established racer. Banjo amd Conker were unknown at the time.

Re: Playtonic's Next Game... Soon? (Speculation)

(New post to avoid a million edits to my last post) https://i.imgur.com/cYqUhO5.png Kev Bayliss, character artist at Playtonic, put up this tweet just now. That wink is definitely implying something here! I'm pretty convinced Game #2 will be a kart racer, considering this tweet, all the speculation ...

Re: Playtonic's Next Game... Soon? (Speculation)

I can't find a link at the moment, but I'm 99% sure I read an interview with a Playtonic dev where he said that a Diddy Kong Racing spiritual successor was actually the team's first choice for their debut game, but in the end they felt they were obligated to do a new 3D platformer first, both in te...

Awesome! All sounda great and it's so nice to have you on board. :) The forums are quiet, I do way more lurking than I do posting, but I think it's beneficial to have an official base. Things inevitably pick up and slow down depending on developer updates; it's nice to have somewhere to go when new ...

if they do a get gemini game , i won't buy for sure. Huh, I guess your username should be downgraded to ' kind-of-a- fanofoldrare'. :D But in all seriousness, we have no idea what they're currently working on. I suspect David Wise is doing the majority of the music this time as I seem to remember G...

Re: Playtonic's Next Game... Soon? (Speculation)

I'm excited about this, but I'm more curious than anything. Rare used to be in development of multiple games at a time, but does Playtonic really have the time and resources to do that, especially when they still need to deliver on certain things promised in the Yooka-Laylee Kickstarter? That fasci...

Playtonic's Next Game... Soon? (Speculation)

https://youtu.be/ao8lUp8QHJs?t=1800 Grant let slip in this livestream that he has finished his contribution for Playtonic's next game. I am working on the game they are doing at the moment. I think Dave [David Wise] is also involved in it as well. I've actually just finished writing the music for th...

... Thank you for the lengthy, thought-out response! Your explanations make perfect sense to me and has completely quashed my cynicism. I'm not currently in a position to raise my pledge beyond $40, but I do hope the stretch goals are reached. The embossing looks fantastic and would really make the...

Re: Spin-off graphic novel revealed!

The more I learn about the comic, the more it begins to interest me. I have a question... The comic has eight different "levels" within one giant tome world. All of them are new. You can check out Trowzer's map on the Kickstarter campaign page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dreampri...

They've signed up here, so that's a great sign that we haven't been all but forgotten!

I wonder what's happened to Andy? Did he leave, or did he change roles? Or *gasps* fired.
