Re: Clive N' Wrench Get A Makeover

Just became a Patreon supporter for this game. I’m really impressed with how the game is coming along.

Re: What other world themes would you like to see?

Love spooky levels like mad monster mansion or creepy castle. There was something almost fairy tale like about the levels in B-K B-T and DK64. What if they did something like visit Hamelot and it has a day/night transition like Fungi forest and it is overrun with ghouls and monsters. You can only ge...

Re: Tooka-Laylee story ideas

I agree with all of your points, and felt the same way. Banjo-Kazooie’s Game over cut scene was frightening, and let you see the consequences of failing. It made it all the more reason for you not to fail. Also, thanks! I’m glad you liked my idea for a story sequel. And I think your reason for the d...

Tooka-Laylee story ideas

So now that I'm nearing the end of my second playthrough of Yooka-Laylee I'm beginning to wonder what the Story cold be for the sequel and I wanted to open the floor to some interesting story ideas that you think COULD happen or what you would like to see happen. One of the things that I felt were s...

Re: Funding the Next Game

I have to agree that Yooka-laylee didn’t live up to my expectations either. It’s got all the right ingredients, but it seems to lack the magic of B-K and B-T. For me personally I think it’s the level design, and the repeat NPCs and enemies. Also this game’s narrative isn’t as gripping and high stake...

I’m sure they’re working on it now that the switch port is finished.

Spoiler:
If I remember correctly, that inept character in galleon galaxy used to say 50% loaded

I have a feeling that the pirate treasure will come into play with that secret in Galleon Galaxy.

Re: Yooka-Laylee 2

I hope when they make yooka-laylee 2 they make smaller less confusing worlds and make more worlds. Also world exclusive enemies and npc's that make those worlds feel lived in. I just got my switch and downloaded my backer copy of Y-L on it. I'm playing it again and am really happy with the improveme...

Re: The music is so damn good

I was a little disappointed to be honest. The music was fantastic, I'm not saying it was bad at all but it lacked that whimsical magical feel that banjo kazooie had. When you played BK and BT you felt like the music itself was its own character playing into the theme that everything in the world of ...

Re: Your PERSONAL Yooka-Laylee reviews

I'm perplexed that a lot of so-called Rare fans are disliking things that are parts of all the other Rare games. To be fair I think the worlds are great. But the Layout and feel of world's was done better in the past. It's BECAUSE I'm a fan that I'm so critical. I want future games to build and imp...

Re: Your PERSONAL Yooka-Laylee reviews

Stop n swop was not implemented or even hinted at so that's gone it seems. Would have been nice seeing as though it's a banjo Kazooie successor.

I think the pirate treasure might have a stop n swap purpose.

Re: Your PERSONAL Yooka-Laylee reviews

Overall I liked Yooka-Laylee as its own thing however it's not quite the experience I was expecting, which is fine as there is a lot of room to grow. It's not quite 1:1 Banjo-Kazooie but it comes pretty close. It feel more Like a banjo-Kazooie game than Banjo-kazooie:nuts&bolts ever did. (Xbone ...

Re: Shared Universe and Next Game Protagonist

I think it would be more interesting if they used the characters they create as actors, so the designs appear in other games but they could have vastly different roles and characterisations. So Yooka could show up, but is playing a totally different role/character. Hate that idea. One of the worst ...

Re: Wishes For Twooka Laylee (Non official name)

Anyone else actually want more collectibles? I'm toying with the idea of having luminous green butterflies to restore energy. And also of having the berries as a collectible like eggs, instead of placed on plants around the world. I see where you are coming from! the berries could be the new eggs. ...

Re: Yooka-Laylee: General Discussion Thread

I have to say though despite some of the shortcomings of this game it's still really good. It's the closest thing to a classic 3D platformer we have gotten in recent years and it feels more like B-K that B-K:nut&bolts ever was. And just imagine, it only took a year and a half from concept to rel...
