Re: The music is so damn good

I was a little disappointed to be honest. The music was fantastic, I'm not saying it was bad at all but it lacked that whimsical magical feel that banjo kazooie had. When you played BK and BT you felt like the music itself was its own character playing into the theme that everything in the world of ...

Re: Your PERSONAL Yooka-Laylee reviews

I'm perplexed that a lot of so-called Rare fans are disliking things that are parts of all the other Rare games. To be fair I think the worlds are great. But the Layout and feel of world's was done better in the past. It's BECAUSE I'm a fan that I'm so critical. I want future games to build and imp...

Re: Your PERSONAL Yooka-Laylee reviews

Stop n swop was not implemented or even hinted at so that's gone it seems. Would have been nice seeing as though it's a banjo Kazooie successor.

I think the pirate treasure might have a stop n swap purpose.

Re: Your PERSONAL Yooka-Laylee reviews

Overall I liked Yooka-Laylee as its own thing however it's not quite the experience I was expecting, which is fine as there is a lot of room to grow. It's not quite 1:1 Banjo-Kazooie but it comes pretty close. It feel more Like a banjo-Kazooie game than Banjo-kazooie:nuts&bolts ever did. (Xbone ...

Re: Shared Universe and Next Game Protagonist

I think it would be more interesting if they used the characters they create as actors, so the designs appear in other games but they could have vastly different roles and characterisations. So Yooka could show up, but is playing a totally different role/character. Hate that idea. One of the worst ...

Re: Wishes For Twooka Laylee (Non official name)

Anyone else actually want more collectibles? I'm toying with the idea of having luminous green butterflies to restore energy. And also of having the berries as a collectible like eggs, instead of placed on plants around the world. I see where you are coming from! the berries could be the new eggs. ...

A fun intro animation in the vein of the first Banjo-Kazooie would also be nice. :)

Re: Yooka-Laylee: General Discussion Thread

I have to say though despite some of the shortcomings of this game it's still really good. It's the closest thing to a classic 3D platformer we have gotten in recent years and it feels more like B-K that B-K:nut&bolts ever was. And just imagine, it only took a year and a half from concept to rel...

Re: Let's talk about Nuts & Bolts

Looking back, Nuts & Bolts wasn't a terrible game (despite the incredibly repetitive missions). It just isn't the kind of game Banjo fans wanted. Should have used different characters. I know everyone wants a new Banjo game, but I honestly couldn't care less. The magic of Banjo came from the te...

Re: Wishes For Twooka Laylee (Non official name)

Here's an idea (edit: kinda expands on what Spydr Webz wrote): Keep the fully expanded world at about the same size, but divide the levels into different themes, one of which becomes available from the start, while you need to expand it to get access to the others. For example, consider Moody Maze ...

Suggestions for the Sequel (potential spoilers)

So I just got done playing Yooka-Laylee and it was a very enjoyable experience for me personally. I'm hoping this game gets enough sales and praise from fans to warrant a sequel, despite the critical reception from game journos. That being said, I started this tread as a means for everyone who think...

I would have also liked a post credit scene with capital B. and Doctor Quack lamenting their situation and possibly teasing their eventual return in Tooka-Laylee. :P

Re: Reviews: expectations and what attention will you pay them

One interesting reaction I had when reading the really, really harsh review of this Jimquisition guy: Annoying sounds ? Yesss, they'll better be! Laylee's insulting everyone ? Hell yeah, I loved that! Silly dialogue ? Well.. that is exactly what I want to see in this game! Many reviewers that have ...

Agreed, Im also not a fan of crystal caves :P

Anyway in B-K it's Mad monster Mansion
In B-T it's Witchyworld
And in DK64 it's a tie for fungi forest and Creepy Castle.
