Re: "PENNY"

I did try asking Playtonic about who this "Penny" is on Twitter, but they just liked the post and didn't give any information about it. So I tried asking Steve Mayles as he sometimes replies to questions about games and characters, but he didn't reply. :( Im pretty sure we will see more o...

Re: Lessons Playtonic shouldn't learn from Yooka Laylee

I'll say, do not copy paste characters and make them the only kind in all the book-world.

I know it may be though to do several characters nowadays but I think character variety and uniqueness is one of the key elements that made Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie so iconic.

Re: What other world themes would you like to see?

I would like to see a super hero world were most of the characters are "not so super" and they would need to show their powers to their fans. So if there is a giant rock blocking an entrance you go in stealth mode and somehow blow the boulder (with TNT maybe) and all the fans will be amaze...

Re: Yooka-Laylee's first anniversary!

I still think they will release some sort of DLC... eventually . But speaking of stretch goals, I saw someone in the comments section on the Yooka-Laylee Kickstarter page say that Grant Kirkhope apparently confirmed there was no longer going to be an orchestral soundtrack (which I'm not surprised a...

Re: Lessons Playtonic might learn from Yooka-Laylee...

One of the things I loved about the Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie games was the variety of challenges you had to solve to get a Jiggy. I loved the challenges that took a lot of thinking to solve, such as having to get the batteries to the power terminals in Grunty Industries. There were fun mini-game styled ...

Re: Yooka-Laylee on Switch - first impressions (by first-timers!)

Im loving this game till now, only 13 pagies left for me. As constructive criticism I can point that I wish some sounds coukd be updated. Like the sound when you pass a ring or when you complete a task, its more like a "Charge" melody than an accomplish one(That trumpet is a bit annoying)....

Re: FINALLY - Switch release date!!!

Im so happy with the decision of giving backers the ability to not just predownload the game but to play it inmediatly after downloading!

Glad to see something like that implemented as a backer benefit!

Props to Playtonic for making this happen!

Re: FINALLY - Switch release date!!!

Yes, please. I don’t know much about digital distribution, but that doesn’t sound impossible either! Sounds very possible to me specially how YouTube channels like GameXplain that have bashed the game previously might end up getting a review copy a week before launch. Oh that would be neat if they ...

Re: Yooka-Laylee 2

How would you guys feel if Playtonic jumped into unreal engine for the next game? Seems to be working on all platforms by now. I support this idea very strongly. Unreal seems to be the best fit from this point going forward. Or what about Snowbite? Mario+Rabbids used that one. Exactly! We have seen...

Re: FINALLY - Switch release date!!!

The only thing I would love now is to have my backer code the day PRE-DOWNLOAD starts that way I just have to download a bit of information on luanch day! But if as backers we could get a code like the ones given for review copies early... OH MY KING JINGALING that would be so awesome! I really hop...

Re: How The Chameleon met the Bat

I guesd this would be nice way to have a game a la Banjo-tooie having new abilities based on each caracter would be nice! That's an Even BETTER Idea then what I had in Mind; Especially since It would allow for Yooka to have his OWN Moves that he wouldn't have had with Laylee on his head(aka ...

Re: Yooka-Laylee Collector’s Boxie

I really want to buy it! Been trying already but the item can't be shipped to P.O. Boxes. At least the ones that need to have numbers on the name of the person information. Not all the fanbase is located in the US. I know there is an option to send it directly to your country but the national post o...

I finally see why people stopped coming to this forum: we are given so little to talk about! This is why the place becomes a den of negativity. I have hardly been to the site in the last two or three weeks, and I've been perfectly fine. But coming here, waiting day in and day out for the hopes of n...

Re: Project Ukelele's chronological relation with the Banjo-Kazooie series

Think of this situation: One of the latest Final Fantasy video games (Final Fantasy XIII) used to be an exclusive to the PlayStation 3. But what happened? They expanded their range to the Xbox 360. So it is possible to allow Banjo to be on other platforms. And especially where GamerGate has taken b...
