Re: Include the toybox as a hidden bonus area in the game?

Interesting results and some good points made! I didn't think of just making the toybox available as is (separate from the game) and using it as a demo or making it available for a small price, both of which are good ideas. Perhaps a better question is should the toybox be made available once the ga...

Should the toybox be made available once the game has been released?

Just a quick thought I had while watching the IGN footage of the toybox ( https://twitter.com/IGN/status/743149184933519360 ) It doesn't make much of a difference to me (I backed at the toybox tier), but I think it'd be nice to make the toybox available (either as is- separate from the game or perha...

Re: NEW UPDATE: Raising The Curtain

Top notch stuff. The game is looking amazing and the character designs for Capital B, Dr. Puzz and Dr. Quack are great! But seriously, I don't know Japanese, though I'd love to learn some. Any tips for beginners?

Re: Do you guys, want an online multiplayer in the game?

Who the heck is voting no? Hi. If the poll was "do you like online multiplayer" or "wouldn't it be great if this game had online multiplayer" the answer would be yes, but it's "do you want online multiplayer". I don't think it's worth the (relatively costly) investment...

Re: Do you guys, want an online multiplayer in the game?

Would it be cool? Well, obviously.

Would it be worth the investment of development time and money to implement online multiplayer (for a primarily single-player game) for not only PC, but PS4, Xbox One and Wii U? Definitely not IMO.

Sorry to be blunt but I really don't think it'd be worth it.

Re: Watching Grant Kirkhope try to explain what "orchestral" means to idiots is cringe-worthy

I agree about letting the experts take the music to its highest possible level of quality, but the condescension in this thread is a bit off-putting. No need to call any of your fellow backers "idiots." This. Disagreeing is fine but there's no need for name-calling ("idiots", &q...

Agreed to some extent but it's hardly unexpected- people are justifiably excited and want to discuss and give feedback.

Things will calm down with time I think.

Re: Found an edited image of the character design, really improves a lot IMO

Really like the edited Yooka design.

Laylee's edit looked weird to me so I put the original eyes back and resized the nose to somewhere between the edit and original (excuse the MSpaint cut and paste job, don't have photoshop installed right now).

Re: Local Co-op

If Yooka and Laylee are able to split up (as with Banjo and Kazooie in Banjo Tooie) perhaps two players could each take control of one character and play simultaneously instead of one player switching back and forth.

Re: No blob shadows? 3D platforming needs them.

This is a very good point!

It shouldn't require much work to fix though (if I'm understanding the problem correctly). The lighting system can remain the same and as long as the light source is changed to one big plane directly above the level it should create a blob shadow effect.

There's also Nottingham's GameCity 10 festival from the 22nd-31st October, which (I think?) is focused more on indie games.

Though I agree that Project Ukulele coming to 3DS is unlikely, it's far too early to rule it out definitely.

I find myself agreeing with you, but I'm not sure if it's because I'm thinking about it now. Mind tricks and all. But yeah, an option to choose between styles would be nice. Maybe even color schemes to help eye sensitivities. It's probably possible to code font options into a page on the user contr...

Re: Grow Home - 2015 3D Platofrmer

Just 100%ed it a few days ago (took me 7 hours) and thoroughly enjoyed it. However, it is short (only took me an hour or two to fully grow the star plant and reach the credits) and not exactly cohesive in terms of game mechanics. There are a lot of ways to move through the environment and while the ...
