Re: Yooka-Laylee on Switch through Limited Run Gammes

Yep. Though, I was able to take advantage of the exclusivity period Limited Run Games had for high-tier backers for the Backer Edition CE before they released it to the general public. I'd be interested to know if anyone who didn't back at the higher tiers and get early access to them was able to ge...

Re: Yooka-Laylee on Switch through Limited Run Gammes

As far as I can tell, yes. The stuff listed for both the regular CE and the Backer Edition CE is the same other than the cart being coloured for the Backer CE, so I can only assume they're otherwise the same. You'd have to get in touch with Limited Run Games if you really wanted to be certain, though.

Re: Yooka-Laylee on Switch through Limited Run Gammes

Is the coloured cart for backers only, or will non backers get a shot at it too? The Backer Edition CE with the coloured cart will be available to the general public at Midnight EST on Sept. 10. 64-bit Edition tier backers and higher are getting a shot at it first (with a substantial discount, no l...

Re: Yooka-Laylee on Switch through Limited Run Gammes

Limited Run Games is emailing 64-bit edition backers and higher with a link to the "Backer Edition" collector's edition of the game and a unique promo code that significantly reduces the cost of said collector's edition to those backers. The Backer Edition CE won't be released to the publi...

Re: will backers get the game slightly early?

A friend of mine who is currently in Texas just received their physical copy. So hopefully it won't be much longer now. Also, I've just checked my backer kit today and it now says "Shipped" and "Rewards are shipped" under Status. Scrolling the cursor over the "Rewards are s...

Re: Timing of rewards to backers?

I have to agree with what Pokemaniac Dan said, physical game copies will likely be sent out somewhat early to try to coincide arrival with the release date of the game, with the remainder of the physical rewards shipping as soon as they're ready. If this project ends up working like other projects I...

Re: Kickstarter Pages Need Updating

Has Kickstarter changed it to allow changes to a campaign's front page once the campaign is over? Last I looked the front page got locked once the campaign was over (or fairly shortly thereafter), which would prevent them from making such a change if that's still the case.

Re: Making the Switch

I had to go check my Backerkit page to remind myself which platform I ended up selecting for my digital version and it turns out I had chosen the Wii U (since it was between that or PC since I don't own either of the other consoles, and I'm already getting a physical copy for PC as part of the "...

You should have two keys, one for the base Toybox and one for the Plus content.

Re: Ledge grabbing?

I voted "No Opinion", but that's only because my opinion is more complicated than a simple "yes it should be" or "no it shouldn't be". I could see it being implemented as an ability that has to be learned somewhat later in the game, to be able to make it up to heights e...

I'm quite alright with them sticking with British spelling, we here in Canada use the British spelling for a lot of words already anyway.

Re: Toybox feedback & discussion thread (SPOILERS)

Though if anyone else has spent time testing framerates and all that please chime in with your findings. Out of curiosity I did a quick check to see what framerate one of my capture programs reported when capturing the Toybox, and not at all unexpectedly it reported a fairly stable 60 FPS, even on ...

Re: Toybox feedback & discussion thread (SPOILERS)

One thing I forgot to mention about my playthrough of the Toybox that I only remembered because I saw it working properly during a playthrough by someone else. The attack combo didn't work for me, and I double-checked that the Plus content was installed and enabled just in case something didn't quit...

Re: Toybox feedback & discussion thread (SPOILERS)

I really enjoyed messing around in the Toybox, most of the controls felt smooth and natural, only real complaint is swimming didn't feel right compared to other games with swimming controls (using X and A for lower and raise and holding up on the control stick to swim forward feels awkward, I'm used...

Re: Include the toybox as a hidden bonus area in the game?

I'm of the opinion that they shouldn't include the toybox demo as part of the final game. However, I would be perfectly alright with them making the demo available separately, either for free or for a small price, after the final game is released, possibly as a way of promoting the game, and to give...

Re: Which do you prefer?

I prefer the new logo, Yooka is better represented in it than he is in the old logo (more in line with how Laylee is represented in the logo), and I like that the thickness of the lines in the letters skews rather than being evenly thick like in the old logo, makes the new logo seem a bit more playf...
