Re: Yooka Laylee is the 9th most funded Kickstarter game

In the relation between initial pledge and eventual funding, I think it is actually the most sucessful game in Kickstarter.

I found Kazooie size too small. I'd love Tooie size.

Re: [Stretch Goals] Update: 535k Stretch Goal funded!

These moments shows most of publishers and majors doesn't know a poo-poo about what the gamers do want. Man, every publisher avoiding 3D platformers, Microsoft ordering Rare to make Kinectimals... and Playtonic making more than half a million pounds in a couple of hours...

Re: Kickstarter Reward: Early Access - Yes or No?

How would you see dividing the game in two acts, like Tim Schafer's Broken Age did? The first act could be the first quarter of the game, and it would give us info about some basic controls, interface, characters, moves, pagie-world system, etc.

Grunty Industries. Man, that level is awesome and amazingly well designed. Backtracking is that good I felt I was playing Metroid. It was amazing to play it for the first time. Hope they do a level like that.

Re: When will this game be coming out?

I preffer a long development than a disappointment. I do not want another Broken Age case, in which I felt cheated. I want a classic 3D platformer with lots of gameplay and wothout all of this poo-poo I hate from moden games (huge CGs, loooots of useless dialogs, tremendously big scenarios with just...

Re: Project Ukulele: Game Over Cutscene

I'd love if there's no cutscene it all, but something playable. I hate non-game narrative. An underworld micro-level only accessible if you loose your lives? Better for me.

Re: What do you want in a Ocean World?

I won't mind if they don't put a long and slow world in there as they did in Jolly Roger's Lagoon. Man, that's by far the worst world in B-K series.

Re: Kart Racer Mini-Game?

I am not a big fan of changing the gameplay in the middle of the adventure just for a short time. I would love if they do a Mario-Kart-based level in which you have to run continuously, with a level development which resambles Diddy Kong Racing. But I don't see it without changing absolutely the gam...

Re: Keep a tight rein on fan input

I think there are a lot of opinions but not every single one is valid. I mean, if someone came here and say: "Hey, Playtonic, put some cutscenes and turn-based combats", that jerk would be ignored. If someone else said: "Could you guys make a level in a magical ice volcano?", the...

Well, I haven't play B-K for GBA, so can't tell. But if you've played the games I'm talking about, you can imagine some of these techniques to make references to many genres.

Re: Instrumental music

Do you mean a 'live' orchestral soundtrack, instead of electronic music? I could enjoy either. The orchestra would give the game a grand atmosphere, but the old-fashioned samples can sound just as good and give an added nostalgia boost. It'd be cool to have both. I presume the musicians will first ...

Re: How much will YOU pledge?

It depends on the rewards. If I have to pay 90€ for a physical reward with some other interesting things, such as beta access, N64 cartridge, second disc with making-off, interviews, etc., I would buy it. If they put 90€ for the digital game itself and a couple of bonus skins, I wouldn't pay that. I...

Re: Gameplay Crossing petition

I'm definitely a big fan of keeping the gameplay the same in-between transitions. Banjo Kazooie Grunty's Revenge was a mess with the whole slide down a long-ass slide and collect poo-poo and avoid spikes as it felt entirely like a different game. What I mean is to keep exactly the same gameplay but...
