Re: No "Press Start" prompt and 360 controller not working?

Nevermind, fixed it. It was just that my computer hadn't been updated in forever and I thought the version I had was recent enough, but apparently not.

Started playing, it's beautiful :D Thanks Playtonic!

No "Press Start" prompt and 360 controller not working?

Hi all! When I open up the game, I'm able to skip the playtonic logo screen using spacebar. However, when I get to the title screen, there isn't any "Press Start" prompt and none of the keys on my keyboard do anything! http://imgur.com/a/nnR9l As well, the game is totally unresponsive to m...

Re: Yooka needs some clothes

http://i.imgur.com/VSJjYQG.jpg Someone made this neat edit with the Hawaiian shirt and goggles idea and other fixes. I really like the way it looks. Not the biggest fan. I feel like it's too much. A small thing like a bandana or a bracelet would work if we needed anything. Definitely nothing on Lay...

Re: Yooka needs some clothes

I think keeping Yooka's eyes for transformations should work fine. I'm not wholly against a small article of clothing, but I don't think it's necessary either.

Re: Do you like the scenery style?

I'm a bit leery of it only because I associate it with linearity and things like Mario, which has very generic levels. It's just an art style though, Playtonic will deliver a good banjo experience regardless. Natural is really nice and adds more of a sense of exploration, but they also mentioned it'...

Too much work to put it on a handheld, and it's widely available already across a bunch of consoles.

Re: Only 5 Worlds in the game?

Seven would be a sweet spot for me, if they're larger worlds. Just because one of my favourite parts of BK and BT was wandering around the hub world and trying to imagine what kind of level it'd be before it opened. More levels means more progression in the hub world too.

Re: Most favorite world from BK and Tooie, and most wanted themed world in Project Ukulele?

BK: Bubblegloop Swamp and Rusty Bucket Bay. Then CCW and Clanker's Cavern and TTC BT: Hailfire peaks Theme? Industrial, like Clanker and RBB and Grunty's Industries (and Frantic Factory from DK64) have always been the most fascinating/stuck out the most for me, but the jungle/forest themed ones are ...

Re: Kickstarter demographic issue: kids don't go to kickstar

These games are all-ages game in the true sense of the word, and a lot of their established fanbase would be definitely be above the age of 18. They're enjoyable by everyone, and that's part of what makes them so special. And a lot of people are knowledgable about kickstarter, they have jobs, or the...

Re: Gruntilda's Lair equivalent?

I agree. One of the best things about the hub worlds in BK/BT was that I was always excited to see what came next. Finding something hidden around every corner brought so much joy and it helped to bring up the anticipation and imagination. It was so nonsensical that everything made sense and I could...

Re: Instrumental music

I definitely prefer the sharpness and feel of electronic music for in-game, but having a bonus couple of orchestral tracks, maybe packaged with the KS, would be sweet.

Re: Should this game involve flight?

Flying was a lot of fun in BK and BT. Gliding too! I loved being able to access high places like the Lighthouse and explore the upper reaches of CCW. And it was fun in Hailfire and CCL. It adds another dimension to the game and would love to see it back.

I personally wouldn't. I'd want to have the first time be the full experience!

Re: What platform(s) do you want to see Project Ukulele on?

For me at university, the only thing I have access to is my Mac, so it'd be nice if it were available on that. I could see it being on consoles too I guess, but since I don't own any or have access to any it wouldn't really affect me.

Re: Things that you DO NOT want in this game.

Yeah, generic levels is a big no. I also don't want to see all bright and happy levels, or inviting levels. Things like Grunty Industries, or Clanker's Cavern, or Creepy Castle, or Frantic Factory were great; there was a good mix of moods in all the previous games. Lots of different moods with lots ...

Re: Kickstarter Rewards, Ideas?

Some sort of poster, tshirt, or physical soundtrack would be amazing. Digital downloads are always good.

A small figurine or plushy or some sort of collectible (that N64 cartridge idea is fantastic) would be bonus and much desired if feasible.
