That's actually one reason why I want one in particular fixed. Imagine if you could reach Grunty with 30 jiggies- any% speedruns would be much less interesting.

Re: Yooka-Laylee: General Discussion Thread

Just beat the game. The final boss far exceeded my expectations, a pleasant surprise after being disappointed by BOTW's final boss.

How do you say "no" on a keyboard?

Backspace and B do nothing, and escape just brings up the menu.

Re: E3 trailer by Playtonic

One could say the same of Banjo's voice in Banjo-Tooie , and it wasn't too much disturbing, even though it was a clear departure from the previous game. His voice was definitely different in Banjo-Tooie, but both his speaking voice and sound effects were changed for that game, weren't they? The tal...

Re: Grant's Secret Project ... [link]

Someone asked him a few days ago to like their tweet if he is not working on Banjo 3 in any way, and Grant did like it. So... Who knows. The mystery thickens. Well that's that then. What could it be though that is important enough to have an NDA? Literally any possible video game, NDAs are standard...

Re: Grant's Secret Project ... [link]

I presumed it meant something along the lines of 'No Disclosure Agreement'. I guessed by the context. Basically he can't tell anyone about the project. While that's clearly the case here, just to clarify: NDAs wildly vary in what they allow for. Specific topics may be taboo, revealing things indire...

Re: What changed ?...

I can not agree 100% on the part that internet made secrets and mysteries irrelevant/non-existent. Like all things... These things need to grow with the time. There are several games that keep implementing easter eggs for everyone to find. Look at the battlefield games for example, in GTA V things ...

Seconding this, it's easily one of the five most entertaining games I've played that's come out in the past decade.

KI3's pretty great, and nobody's forcing you to buy every game on the system.

Re: With NX coming in March 2017...

1 solution: Give us a correct release date in first place. ;) It doesn't have to be too specific, i.e.: Quarter 1 - 2017. I don't care of they announce something for 2018, but I do care if they announce something for 2016 and delay it (multiple times) and it ends up being released in 2018. Releasin...

Re: Incoming updates and reveals from Playtonic

This just in: don't back games on Kickstarter if you're not willing to wait 3+ years for them to come out! Coming up after this commercial break is a special report on the "water is wet" situation.

There was only one post against it that wasn't from Scrubber or Exaskryz. You're far from the minority.

Re: Do you particularly want DLC for this game?

I don't understand why people want Playtonic to immediately get working on the sequel if they feel they have more ideas for this game that they couldn't afford to put in the base release. A sequel will take years (and might not even get off the ground unless the first game did well enough, which DL...

Re: Do you particularly want DLC for this game?

Who ever said that Yooka-Laylee gets an DLC? They only state that they make additional contents, when they're done with the game. But that could also mean that S'n'S can be implemented later, which will be integrated into new games. The content would be free to backers, it would be pretty bait and ...

Re: Do you particularly want DLC for this game?

It's more content and I get it for free, so yes, I want it. If they choose to make more beyond the backer DLC it depends on what content it is and how it's priced. DLC can make content easier and faster to produce, as well as avoid mandatory repurchases. If done correctly, then yes, I'd enjoy more p...

Re: Yooka-Laylee PS4 community

Hmmm... I'm wondering if I'll play it on my Wii U (where my loyalties lie) or on PC/PS4, where it will be inevitably more beautiful. Anyways, a thought: playtonic forums are already fairly quiet. Probably a difficult climate for sub-sub-communities to flourish. Chatter will inevitably pick up, thou...

Re: Toybox(++)

However, maybe Playtonic should make better predictions of their release dates in future. Why Playtonic? I'm sorry but the whole Industry (except Scott Cawthon), can't handle release dates. Prime Example, Valve. Nobody has beaten them, with HL3. How so? They announced that they weren't working on H...

Re: Xbox One to be MS's last "true" console, Phil Spencer hints

I'm all for this. Console exclusivity does nothing except limit what games any given gamer can play and require overpriced and underpowered parts that get outdated a tenth of the way into their lifespan. I look forward to the day Sony and Nintendo follow suit.
