Re: Am I the only one who hates the Knights of Hamalot?

I feel like most characters in the game are not fleshed out and developped enough. I like the knights' designs, but they basically do nothing AND we don't know what they are after/their backstory. I wouldn't say I hate them, but mostly that they are disappointing. On a side note, I really like Leaps...

Re: Y-L ... disappointment

Of course the story is stupid. It's a spiritual successor to a game where the story is about an ugly witch -who is SOMEHOW the world's second greatest beauty-, kidnapping the number one beauty (an little girl bear, hairy chest and all) to swap attractiveness with her via an Attractiveness Swapping ...

Re: Is Yooka-Laylee the True Spiritual Successor of Banjo-Kazooie? (SURVEY)

To me, Yooka-Laylee feels more like DK64 than the banjo games. The worlds are needlessly big and since there's no warp pads, you easily get lost. Some challenges, like in DK64, are repetitive and really hard to do (Rextro's games and highscores). I prefer the kind of challenges in banjo games like '...

Re: Favorite worlds in BK, BT, DK64?

For BK, the ones I really liked were Bubblegloop Swamp (no one seems to mention this one but I think it was my favorite), Freezeezy Peak and Mad Monster Mansion. The other levels were cool also, but those three really stood out to me. For BT, I loved WitchyWorld, Terrydactyland and, most of all, Hai...

Re: What have YOU pledged? POLL

I'm still deciding which reward I'll go for. I'll probably pledge £30 for the Digital Deluxe (digital game, soundtrack, manual, and artbook). I would absolutely LOVE to get the physical soundtrack and artbook, but I don't think I can swing the money. This is the first Kickstarter (or other crowdfun...

Re: Languages

Nope you both are not Weeaboo enough. Just kidding, but hey who does not like japanese? I personally find it easier to learn and understand as chinese or korean. Anyway I probably will play this game in german, only to find flaws in the translation. I had a mandarin Chinese course in communit...

Re: Any chance of an E3 showcase?

It makes no difference to me if they attend in person or not seeing as I can't go, but I do think they will do something for E3. Why else would the kickstarter last 45 days instead of 30?

Re: Languages

I just had the idea that they could allow for fan localization. They could localize professionally the languages with most demand, and let fans do the rest in some sort of mod. I know Gone Home did that and it seems to be working well. If they do that I will totally do a French Canadian "Québé...

Re: Languages

Yeah, I heard that nintendo even stopped supporting you guys... That sucks. Portuguese seems like a fine language, if you ask me. This makes me think of how we didn't have any games in French when I was young. Nintendo gave some sort of excuse that there weren't enough French speakers in North Ameri...

Re: Circus/Funfair - 'Spiral Mountain' Equivalent

This would be a really great idea. Laylee does make me think of a circus character. This would be a more memorable starting point than Spiral Mountain was. To be honest I want everything to be a bit more au naturale. Sorry, the grammar nazi in me has to tell you that this is written *au naturel. I ...

Physical console release. I don't know how much it would be, but that's something I really want. Also, more worlds.

Re: [Stretch Goals] Update: 665k Stretch Goal funded!

Yes, on to languages now! I'm hoping the French version won't be completely cringe-worthy, though. French is inherently cringe-worthy... trust me... I had to take 6 years worth of French and I can't form a coherent sentence! That language is such a nightmare, because it defies any semblance of logi...

Or, instead of doing a real amiibo, you do just like skylanders and make it available on all platforms.

Re: Genders have NOT been revealed

You misunderstood. I'm not saying it is a political issue. I just don't like people turning it into one. And if you're wondering, yes it does happen a lot, people often ask for homosexuals or genderless characters to be featured in art just for the sake of making a political statement, and not beca...

Re: Why no boxed edition for console?

I pledged for a physical copy anyway assuming that they'll get support for console physical copies and that you'll be able to choose then. If not, well, I'll have a pc copy, though I doubt that with all the support they're getting, they couldn't make it happen.
