Re: Yooka-Laylee on Switch through Limited Run Gammes

Well, that would mean 3000 pcs will be sold out in approx. 3 minutes or so. That's crazy! Sure is! Although from what I've read on social media in the comments sections about the Limited Run Games collector's editions, it seems a lot of scalpers buy them just to put them on ebay to take advantage o...

The next smaller batch will be at 6pm Eastern time which I think is 10pm Friday GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).

Re: Yooka-Laylee on Switch through Limited Run Gammes

The release date has changed to Friday the 7th of September. I had a feeling it would be delayed, because we hadn't got any email from Limited Run Games yet announcing the game was going on sale in 12 hours. I also hope the delay is due to my theory (wishful thinking?) that the DLC will be included...

Yeah I saw that yesterday too. Bit disappointing, but fingers crossed it means the DLC will be finished and included on the Switch cart.

Now that would be awesome, but I won't bet on it.

Re: Playtonic have saved platform game to me

That's not true in the slightest...
Super Mario Odyssey has been in production for years + it follows the same formula as SM64 and SMS, so nothing new for Nintendo.

Re: N64 graphics

I think Playtonic might have caused issues for themselves (such as a future barrage of complaints) by naming it the "64- bit Tonic" when the Kickstarter stretch goal said it would be a N64 shader mode, not N64 graphics . I think now a lot of people will be expecting the low-poly N64 graph...

Re: Almost 6 months after the Switch version release...

A new update from PTG (incl. a screenshot) has arrived: 'You may have noticed that we’re continuing to be mysterious and quiet here in the Playtonic dev bunker. That’s simply because we’re all heads down, buzzing like union worker bees, spawning some of the cool stuff we hope to get into your hands ...

Re: Is the DLC still happening?

So I'm actually not sure if the DLC is still happening :/. I sent them an email asking if when the DLC comes out I would be able to get it for Switch instead of ps4 (which is what I got from backing as I didn't want to have to wait). Here is the response I received: We are not sure how any DLC, if ...

Way more than a month, I think...

It's been over 2 months since they said soon. Im beginning to feel a very strong disliking (i won't say hate yet) towards playtonics use of the word soon. It's pretty much a lie.

Agree.

Playtonics "soon" has to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Over 2 months now. Seriously why use the word soon AT ALL.

'Cause their communication sucks (it's a fact).

Re: Yooka-Laylee on Switch through Limited Run Gammes

Yes you can. The limited part is the pre-order period is the only time you can get it. Miss that window and you miss it forever. Have you (or anyone else reading this who'd care to comment) bought from them before and/or can confirm the 14 day open pre-order window is definitely how they do things ...
