Re: JonTron in Project Ukelele

He hasn't been confirmed as such, but Playtonic and Jon did have a brief Twitter exchange about the topic. Nothing's set in stone. I mean, I wouldn't be actively opposed to it. I just thing that Playtonic should hire real Voice Actors. Unless he has a super bit-part or something. None of the classi...

Re: Wii U GamePad

I'd be fine with off-tv play & moving HUD symbols to the gamepad. But please, NO MAPS! And not only not on the gamepad, but nowhere! Maybe there should be a separate thread for this. A map will somehow destroy the exploration aspect of the game. You should discover the worlds with your very eyes...

Re: 60 fps

Wii U will handle it just fine - just look at how amazing all the cartoony games look! In my opinion, 60fps is MUCH more important than 1080p. Seriously. You won't see that much of a difference in such a game, while a smooth gameplay is a must & most essential in a platformer.

Re: Nintendo Fans, Lets Show Them Our Nostalgia! WiiU/3DS+Am

I'm all in for Wii U. ...but considering the 3DS, I wouldn't set it a priority. I'll just pasting my thoughts from another thread: The 3DS is half as powerful as a Wii (Wii graphics with a resolution of 240p, instead of 480p) - they would need to do A LOT of work by stripping down the graphics and e...

Re: Keep a tight rein on fan input

I also agree. But I want to talk about the definition of "fan input". Because most things I write about (if not all) just put several aspects into words that I LOVED about the B-K/B-T games. Since it's a long time since they were developed, I don't see anything bad in it when Playtonic jus...

Re: A hat in time (Hat kid?) cameo?

... Don't you worry, I'll play it once it's released. :) I haven't replied to all of what you said, mostly because your other points are either very subjective or because I more or less agree with them. I think we both weighted our expectations of a 3D platformer ("in the vein of Banjo/Rarewar...

Re: A hat in time (Hat kid?) cameo?

You have to consider that its their first game & a beta. And I think its really impressive what the reached so far. Of course they are not comparable to industry veterans, but they already put so much though and love in this game. I wouldn't write them of so quickly. Honestly, as a player, I do...

Re: A hat in time (Hat kid?) cameo?

No progress in A Hat in Time? Have you watched footage of the beta version already? This game looks, sounds & plays GORGEOUS! And don't compare it to the Mac version - they are mainly focusing on the PC version first. A Hat in Time has so much potential. One has really have to play the beta to ...

Voice Mumbling

Let's talk voice mumbling! I always loved these simple, silly sounds that gave the characters their personality with minimal effort. But (and I think this has to be said) in Nuts & Bolts, the developers changed the mumbling in a way that I didn't like at all. Just compare Banjo Tooie's intro: ht...

Re: Temporary name of the protagonists

Oh yes, Uku-Lele sounds great! They could change up the writing of the names in some way, to make them sound more like, well, names, but I like how it sounds already! I think this thread came to an early conclusion, ha!

Re: Will these characters be able to transform??

Yes, transformations were a big & funny part of the Banjo games. I couldn't really imagine if they were absent in this one. Besides being always a funny surprise to the player, they also add more variation to the gameplay! But since I want to be surprised, I wouldn't really be able to think of s...

Re: Quirky Characters?

One character HAS to be more offensive and sarcastic. The balance in the Banjo games was just right! To be honest, I liked it the way it was and wouldn't invert the personalities. I think its best when you mainly play the good-natured, nice (but maybe slightly dumb) character and have his sidekick t...

Daily Reminder: Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts has googley eyes as a vehicle part in the Stop n' Swop feature. ... but concerning Nuts & Bolts: That game didn't really have googley eyes, did it? Just compare this: http://www.rarefandabase.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/banjo_logo_nutsandbolts.jpg...

Re: Spiritual Homages/Cameos ?

I would love to see a Captain Blackbeard-like character, that talks about how some company stole his glory... or something in that way. Would've been Banjo himself in this case, so that might not work. But they might fire some shots towards M$ in subtle way... or at least touch the topic of how big ...

Re: What platform(s) do you want to see Project Ukulele on?

You do realise that the DS could not support something they are trying to do, right? Plus the DS is pretty much phased out from production now Hm, you're right. I should've realized this when they cancelled Super Mario Galaxy for the DS. Perhaps it'd be better on a superior system such as the PS Vi...

Re: Replay Value -- Ideas?

Yep, multiplayer is the keyword. What I'd really like would be some kind of freeroam multiplayer, where you revisit some larger places - or maybe even the worlds of the singleplayer mode - and get tasked with a challenge. The one player who's the fastest, wins. Of course, you could interfere with ot...

Re: Online Multiplayer?

Well... they could easily go the Banjo-Tooie route, where they expanded the already present mini-games of the singleplayer mode to be playable locally with some friends! I remember how much I loved playing the shooter sections with some friends! Don't know about online tough... I would make this dep...
