Re: Yooka-Laylee on Switch through Limited Run Gammes

Yes you can. The limited part is the pre-order period is the only time you can get it. Miss that window and you miss it forever. Have you (or anyone else reading this who'd care to comment) bought from them before and/or can confirm the 14 day open pre-order window is definitely how they do things ...

Re: Lessons Playtonic shouldn't learn from Yooka Laylee

Don't listen to the paid reviews who were paid to hate on Yooka-Laylee. Yooka-Laylee is a great game. We all know the fair reviews honestly reviewed the game. What..? So the bad reviews are there because the reviewers were paid to hate and the good reviews are honest? Gtfo... (I like YL mysel...

He's certainly keeping the boards active at least (well, as active as they seem to get these days).

It's a shame that the board is as dead as it is... :(

You know what's a contributing thought instead of pointless complaining? He is contributing. You're the one that's not. You seem blindly dead set on dismissing any and all criticism of anything PTG as "demanding" or "complaining" You should be able a fan of a company without let...

Your demands still suck big time... Demands? You mean stretchgoals we (partly) funded this game for? I have 0 unreasonable "demands". You think I do? Tell me which. I know, the truth can be harsh. ;) The truth is that you get info when its ready. I don't know what your expecting bef...

Re: What other world themes would you like to see?

One world type I've been dying to see in Banjo - and thus now Yooka-Laylee - would be a cowboy themed world. Old west town, railroads, mines - stuff like that. Other than that, I'd like to see generic themes "spiced up," like how Hailfire Peaks had a Roman flare on the fire side (in addit...

Hmmm, let's hope so!
I still find their communication (towards backers) to be poor, but let's hope it is 'Christmas' soon. ;P

Re: Yooka-Laylee's first anniversary!

Right now, my biggest concern is just wanting to know exactly what they are doing. Playing through the game again has left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, simply because of all the little things that can still be fixed (or rather "improved"), but have yet to be. I agree with this, but l...

Re: Yooka-Laylee's first anniversary!

I wouldn't be terribly upset if all the stretch goals weren't met, but I can understand that other people might be disappointed if it happens. Even if those who are disappointed understand and appreciate why certain stretch goals couldn't be met (if it comes to that), it still doesn't make their di...

PM me your actual details and I'll be more than happy to make an inquiry -- "Piet" isn't enough to go on. And please stop with the winking faces; you're not being smart, or witty. The quote is applicable to games development in general, and if Playtonic decide that they must put some stre...

Re: Yooka-Laylee's first anniversary!

Yeah, okay, I'll take your word for it, but nobody with half a brain would believe that you raised your pledge; as if a tiny increase would have any real effect on a £500,000 stretch goal. Get real -- In fact, I invite you to provide evidence of an increased pledge, bearing in mind that I moderate ...

Re: Yooka-Laylee's first anniversary!

Primarily because the stretch goals had absolutely no impact on whether I did or didn't invest, nor did it affect the amount I backed with. I also understand that in a realistic world, not everything can go to plan, which was actually stated on the Yooka-Laylee Kickstarter page. The stretch goals w...

Re: Yooka-Laylee's first anniversary!

Didn't most people bitch and moan about the idea of Y-L having an orchestral soundtrack? I remember Grant being really excited about it and then being shocked by the negative reaction. Doesn't seem like Playtonic can win no matter what they do. If they create an orchestral soundtrack with an option...
