The game make me feels like rayman origins.. Only nice graphic and music but the game is too basic.. you just have to go streight to the end of level.. but there no exploration to find secret in the level...

i hope i am wrong but honestly im scare.. i will buy the game whatever because i want to support playtnoic.. but i am not sure about the game.

Rayman Origins was awesome and fun as heck, so I'm not sure what you're talking about with this "too basic" nonsense. I think you might be confusing Rayman Origins with New Super Mario Bros.

There WERE secrets in Rayman Origins, specifically secret paths and passages that lead to locked up Electoons.

yeah its true i forget about it.. while i got fun doing rayman origin , i still think the game was too linear and not enough secret.. i just feel there was less secret to search than dk country 2 of snes.

Im hoping it's going to be more like DKC 1 2 & 3 where there are secrets to find and areas to explore rather than DKC 4 & 5 where there is a focus on speed and time trials.

Also, Rayman origins is brilliant.

its true rayman origins was fun.. but i prefer by a long way dkc 1-2-3 for the exploration side.

The people at Playtonic Games didn’t make Rayman, but a number of the people at Playtonic actually did work on the original Donkey Kong Country games, so I think that will have an influence on this new game. So you might be worrying for nothing.

Have a read of this article about the new game, it might alleviate some of your fears.

I think it's a sensible move: playing to the strengths of the developers' past successes but doing a 2D platformer.

It'll help stop them becoming typecast as the "3D collectathon" developer, if nothing else.
The more strings to Playtonic's bow, the better.
