I imagine the results to this are going to be pretty unanimous.

The BK games, but why aren't SM64 & SMS listed?
These are the best for me after the BK games.

Of all the options, Banjo Kazooie, even though Tooie is the superior game but I enjoy Kazooie more. Psychonauts is also AMAZING. But my favorite platformer is actually Sonic Adventure (DX)

Sunshine (after the banjo series) is my favorite.

I REALLY liked the freedom in SM64 (and partly in SMS).
A HUB that is roamable (not just a level select screen (in any form)), non-selected collectables can be earned in any order (of course with exceptions), fee-roaming in worlds, etc.

In other words: Non-linearity!

Had Super Mario Sunshine been an option, I'd have gone for that.

The first time I played it, my jaw DROPPED. It was the only platformer to bring me such a sense of wonder.

Sunshine was the last great mario game for me so I'm ecstatic about mario odyssey.

I never pick Conker's Bad Fur Day, even though its script was fun and its level design interesting, because the platforming and combat is very hardcore. I also think that, when Rare were bought by Microsoft, they should have released Twelve Tales as a standalone game.

In some ways, I admire how such a convoluted idea as backtracking with 5 characters in DK64 made such a mysteriously epic feeling game.

However, for a combination of enjoyment and novelty, staying true to classic platform game staples such as ice world, haunted house, underwater, I'll go for Banjo Kazooie although Conker is probably the most entertaining game. I never got in to Tooie - it felt like an adventure game (rather than a platformer) in disguise. But that's a thing with the Banjo series- as if taking a cue from Mario, codename Project Dream always seems to want to dream up some new gameplay mechanics.
