I still haven't passed Fungi Forest...

But I had a similar glitch when fighting Mad Jack (is that his name?); he stopped jumping and I was just running around for about two minutes. I had to exit and go back in to fix the glitch. I was also using Tiny, obviously, as that's who you are when you fight him.

Finally beat the game yesterday. It took several hard resets though. Got a kick out of seeing Mark, Chris, Steve and Gavin's names in the credits.

I LOVE the game.
I LOVE having 5 characters and I LOVE having all these collectibles to collect... and each of them does something!
I LOVE the diverse minigames.
I LOVE the diverse boss concepts.

I ain't that big of a fan of the different level tropes, but I think the level design is good enough to make up for the boring tropes.

People love going cynical and criticizing the collectibles, but DK64 is just great on it's own. It's probably the largest and most detailed platformer on the entire 32/64 bit generation

Just started playing it today... Already, I'm getting the Rare love that I'm so reminiscent of! :D

Though the controls on my Wii U don't translate AS well to N64 controls... eh, I'll get used to it.

Is anyone else having trouble with bonus barrel where you shoot a Golden Banana and not the Kongs? (Gloomey Galleon, treasure room).
It seems impossible.

Nope, Find these fairly easy. It just depends on your reaction time.

That said, the scaring-beavers-into-a-hole ones can die in a fire.

I think I read that something with the frame rate changed when they put it on WiiU, because it seems like I'm doing it as fast as you possible could, literally the instant, and it doesn't count.

I have noticed a lot of hit-detection issues when shooting things.
The inner part of the robotic fish in the water level being the most obvious.
