Banjo-Kazooie Fan Games

Postby DWard14 » Tue Dec 01, 2015 4:54 pm

I was wandering the internet when I wondered: Are there Banjo-Kazooie Fan Games. There are Pokemon Fan Games and Mario Fan Games, so are there BK fan games? There are:

What do you think?

There's Banjo-Threeie chapters. Which is a 2d platformer.

There's also Banjos Backpack which is like a creat-Your-Own Banjo level.

I've thought about making a Banjo-Kazooie game with Banjo's Backpack a couple times. Kind of wish they had used Banjo-Tooie's Banjo and Kazooie with all their moves instead.
Yooka-Laylee should be its own game with its own feeling. It shouldn't try to be like Banjo-Kazooie, it shouldn't try to be like Donkey Kong, it should be like Yooka-Laylee.

Unless they finally fixed it, it can't even work with the base game, let alone custom levels. That's with BK, which is much more well documented than BT, and I'd assume easier to work with (unless BT made camera cues more intuitive for level designers or something). Not hating on it, it's a free product, but I'm glad it's for BK.

It would just be nice to have all of their moves so you can make some interesting level designs. It's still a really nice mod tool.

Well considering that Banjo Tooie is more bigger than Banjo-Kazooie, at the same time is more complex. But yeah, I wish Banjo's Backpack included items, elements, icons, aesthectics, and other meta stuff from Banjo Tooie and not just Banjo-Kazooie.

I know this is a pretty old post, but I'd like to mention that there is a fan game called Banjo-Dreamie being developed using the Banjo's Backpack mod. The creator has been doing it piece-by-piece for a long time now and I think he is just about finished with it.

Unlike the standard Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Dreamie makes you earn everything. If I remember correctly, Banjo couldn't even attack until you find Bottles in the first level. It's an extremely challenging mod, but it's also pretty fairly laid out so you usually feel like it is your own fault when you screw up. The environments are also pretty noteworthy as they tend to have a surrealist quality to them.

I'd highly recommend it if you guys can hunt it down.
