Hey guys I found another good kickstarter 3d platformer.
I think this one is very interesting, very inspired by spyro crash bandicoot and other ps1 platformers.

I'm doing the music for Kewpie-Jazzy (If it gets funded)
I think it will be a nice start in the video game music industry!

I'm sure it will be funded eventually!
The campaign is currently at 0,3% after only 16(?) days! So... Just give it 14 years and 7 months or so more and the campaign will be funded :)

Those assets look stolen directly from that FrozenMe game or whatever it was. Which looked stolen from a Super Mario Galaxy generator. Even just the screenshots give a reaaaaaaally bad impression of this project. Glad Grant backed out.

I'm standing by the point that I consider the "practice" as a good thing for these guys as developers (or for you as a composer). But the current package likely won't attract enough people to fund it. I really advice the team to take the criticism to their hearts, check out the development process of Clive 'n' Wrench (which really improved after many big, failed attempts) and revamp the whole thing.

I agree. I messaged them about doing a smaller scale one if they don't reach their goal, and they said that they would try doing something like that.

They have a new trailer with some of my music in it btw: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roZKO3DscDo

I actually just watched the Kickstarter trailer just now... The characters look even worse in motion... But I guess stuff like that can be smoothed out in development... But even then, some of the worlds feel gaudy, and hard to look at. The music sounds bland and uninspired. I mean, it really is tempting to just call this a cheap cash-grab. I usually don't like Kickstarters that have stretch goals right off the bad, especially ones that as for a large some of money to begin with, and given how much money it has now, they'll be lucky to even get funded with this.

Thank god, I listen to your youtube channel, my favorites are the N64 remixes of both Tribalstack Tropics and Nutty Acres, so I know you got what it takes to create the Banjo inspired music. It's a shame your stuck working with this project and team of developers. The need to go back to square one and hit the drawing board again. They need to replace Kewpie the cat. Recreate the levels, Dazel Valley looks way to much like Shipwreck Creek. And what is with Djembe who looks like bootleg Timon?
I'm not ranting at you, and I doubt you can do anything about it anyways, and I'm really sorry about this. This game just seems so... ugh... ya know, like what Duludubi Star is to Super Mario Galaxy.

Keep up with the good work on your music!

Thank you so much! I do agree with most of what you are saying, but since I never composed music for a game before, I just took the chance here, even though I definitely would like to work on something slightly better ;) Nice to see someone with the same opinion as me

I'm glad that we both share the same sentiments! I can understand your situation, when the opportunity rises up, you gotta seize it. :D

I've been thinking about a game idea for a while now, and it could work really well for you, I'd just need to get the game out of concept phase into actual gameplay...

A new article that sheds some light of a few of the shady things surrounding the Kickstarter, as well as the reasoning behind the poor grammar and Grant Kirkhope's leaving.

What a great read! It's cool that he was able to get both Dokycamp and Grant to answer all the questions.. Some of them were questions I didn't dare to ask Dokycamp myself

But, even if she didn't have boobs, the design of her just looks yuck. She has a very unpleasant shade of pink, the jean-shorts aren't attractive in the slightest, the fact she has human legs instead of cat legs makes her running on all-fours look extremely strange/scary, and in my opinion, she is too tall to be in a cartoony 3D platformer. Tall characters that run fast and jump twice their height make 3D platforming very awkward to me. (Also, she wearing a baseball cap backwards...? Seriously?)

This right here is the reason I didn't even look further into the game to find all of the other issues that the rest of you are pointing out. I absolutely cannot stand this kind of thing.
No, not all Xbox owners are dudebros who love grey-and-brown PvP FPSes. Please feel free to quit stereotyping now.

I actually sketched up a redesign for them out of boredom, addressing all of the issues I have with their looks. I'd love to share it here but I'm not sure if I should in case the developers might be eyeing on this thread and may steal my design rather than creating their own. :?
