I guess mine just hasn't been emailed yet then. Oh well, won't matter anyways if I manage to order the Collectors edition.

Limited Run Games is emailing 64-bit edition backers and higher with a link to the "Backer Edition" collector's edition of the game and a unique promo code that significantly reduces the cost of said collector's edition to those backers. The Backer Edition CE won't be released to the public until Sept. 10th at Midnight EST, giving those backers a chance to preorder their copy first (if they so desire). The list price for the Backer Edition CE is $249.99, reduced to just $34.99 with the unique promo code sent to backers of the 64-bit edition tier and higher.

Source: Myself, as a 64-bit editon backer who received just such an email.

So I'm not going mad. Yet.

That's a HUGE discount. And glad us backers get first dibs. Is the coloured cart for backers only, or will non backers get a shot at it too?

Is there a 64 bit or above backer that is not planning to purchase the backer edition? Contact me by private message and we can arrange something...

Wow, the 'Switch Limited Run #13: Yooka-Laylee Classic Edition' is sold out already!
Within 1 or 2 minutes, I think...

Luckily I got one! :)

Edit:
The Classic Edition's page now states:
'This item is currently sold out. More will be available later today at 6 PM Eastern Time.'

Congratulations on getting one! :)

I timed how long it took for this batch to sell out and it was about 2 minutes and 5 seconds. :o

More are coming! I think they sell 'em in batches of 500 or 1000 or something (just a guess). :)

I think they do them in two batches, but that the first batch is the biggest.
The next smaller batch will be at 6pm Eastern time which I think is 10pm Friday GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).

Well, that would mean 3000 pcs will be sold out in approx. 3 minutes or so.
That's crazy!

I'd have settled for the standard version if I had to, but I'm happy to say I was able to snag a copy of the Classic Edition! Glad the discount code worked for that one, too. It's insane how quickly that batch sold out.

Sure is! Although from what I've read on social media in the comments sections about the Limited Run Games collector's editions, it seems a lot of scalpers buy them just to put them on ebay to take advantage of people who actually wanted a copy. :(

Oh good! :)
I'm happy to see that at least some actual fans of the game were able to get collector's editions and that the scalpers didn't get them all!

It’s only 1 pc per person tho, so 1 scalper won’t be able to make 1000’s of dollars/euros out of it...
Luckily!

Phew! I did it as well! :D I pre-logged into Paypal and created a Limited Run account with pre-set delivery address to save some time. I even "trained" placing an order as quickly as possible by pretending to buy "Dust". :D

Congrats to everyone who made it!

Really? I didn't even try because they said it was for the standard version (and I didn't want to waste precious seconds).

I had thought so too until right before it went on sale. I think I saw a statement about it on twitter at the last minute, and decided to try it. I had the code copied to clipboard for additional time saving at checkout. Sorry to hear you didn't get the benefit of the discount code. At least you got a copy, though :)

The Backer Edition CE with the coloured cart will be available to the general public at Midnight EST on Sept. 10. 64-bit Edition tier backers and higher are getting a shot at it first (with a substantial discount, no less), but this suggests they're anticipating at least some to be available after the backers of those higher tiers have claimed theirs. At $249.99 though, it's a pretty steep price for what's essentially the same as the regular CE but with a special "backer exclusive" coloured cart. At $34.99 for us higher-tier backers (with our promo codes), though, it's a right steal, heh.

Thanks. The coloured cart is the only difference?! I backed the 64 bit edition so this is a great bonus.

As far as I can tell, yes. The stuff listed for both the regular CE and the Backer Edition CE is the same other than the cart being coloured for the Backer CE, so I can only assume they're otherwise the same. You'd have to get in touch with Limited Run Games if you really wanted to be certain, though.

I hear that. Got a lot of help from someone on the FB page. Good luck to everyone who wants one.
