E3 2018

Does anyone know what the deal is with Playtonic in terms of E3 this year? I know I’m not the only one dying to hear what they have planned for the future

I don't really think they'll travel to E3 and showcase stuff at the booths. But their current publisher Team17 will be there, so who knows: https://www.e3expo.com/participating-companies

Still, I guess they'll just send out a big update and trailer(s) by themselves.

It would be great seeing what's next from Playtonic games.

''But we promise it’s because we’ve been far too busy working on covert goodness, and not because we’ve been down the pub for 4 months. Soon we’ll start talking more actively, both about extra content for Yooka-Laylee, plus… other stuff. Shhh!''
Did they get stuff ready in 4 months? Or will they just say something and take another year to reveal footage?

I forgot how just a part of the team worked on the switch version while others were already developing the next game. Yooka Laylee had an E3 trailer just a year after the kickstarter ended. The trailer footage was really similar to the final product.

God, that Nintendo E3 sucked. I genuinely expected something from Playtonic. They didn't even show Metroid, Bayonetta or Pikmin.

No DLC news
No teasers for the future
No news on promised stretch goals that still haven't been met.
Not even an email to tell us that something is coming """"soon""""

Literally the worst e3 in years. Microsoft was crap, Nintendo's was surprisingly even worse.

Last night for the first time in my life I actually bought a ps4 because their exclusives were the only thing that interested me at e3.

With how bad Nintendo's was I worry for the switch's future. If they don't provide the software the hardware will have the same fate as Wii u .

And NOTHING from ANYBODY about Banjos 20th Anniversary . What's up with That?

I just watched the Nintendo E3 Direct - had been looking forward to watching it after work all day, and I agree it was disappointing. I thought there was too much time devoted to Super Smash Bros.

Overall I thougth it was pretty good. Microsoft showed a crazy amount of games. Barely any exclusives but that's just better for the consumer. Bethesda showed/announced some great stuff. At this point I consider trading my Switch for a PS4. I've waited years for a good Nintendo console and they had it for a year. This year can't even compare to some Wii U lineups.
