Re: New video from Capital Casino... Bugs remain?

Also still upset that Dr. Puzz doesn't have a dwelling and she's just randomly out in the open. That is something that I have noticed too. It just seems weird she is standing there with no context. She seems like astronaut so they could have make some kind of space ship for her at least. That appli...

Re: Worlds real order of Levels 3,4 and 5

So there's really no more than 5 worlds to this game? I'm kinda disappointed if so. I'd rather explore multiple smaller worlds with different themes. Although...I wonder if there might be additional themes to unlock if the worlds are expanded?

Re: The full Swamp World Artwork

It appears to be an expanded version of the first piece. If you pay close attention to , you can notice that some elements were changed between the two pieces, such as the fish. :)

Re: Text bubble options?

That would definitely be an annoyance with me. I think the text speed manipulation in Banjo-Kazooie was brilliant. It should be a must for this game, too.

Re: A removed world?

Multiple possible factors. May not have made the cut due to time restrictions. Maybe a creative block put it on hold. Perhaps the design didn't fit with the game.

Re: Concerns of quality?

I haven't come across any of these kind of views myself, but as you bring the subject to my attention, I can definitely see a potential for mixed perceptions regarding the final game. You can already tell quite a bit from the game's multiple release trailers, and different people seem to respond to...

Re: Anyone else find that defeating enemies feels unsatisfying?

I think the tailspin does feel a bit dull and uninteresting. A headbutt or a punch attack would probably feel more engaging. I also find that the physics in Banjo-Kazooie felt more fluid and meaty. May wanna thicken the viscosity of the air, so to speak.

A perspective on harmonic coherency

There was a comment made somewhere in response to the latest trailer that brought something to my awareness about elemental integrity and coherency: how all the core units of something relate to one another in the composition of the final product, and our feeling perception in experiencing the produ...

Re: E3 trailer by Playtonic

Very excited to see the game coming along so beautifully. There was one thing I suppose struck me as feeling somewhat out of place, which was the rotating speech bubble displayed above . I'm kind of feeling more towards a holographic-style icon that doesn't rotate. Anyhow, just an idea.

Re: List 'o Ideas

Has anyone mentioned the Grunty Switches ? In Banjo-Kazooie, there was one of these in each world. Activating a switch would reveal a jiggy in the current world or somewhere within Grunty's lair. But the part that really fascinated me was how some of the switches would permanently change the environ...

More than 60k names...only to find our own and get our ego stroked ? I still think it's kinda pointless. Even though they did promise it as a £5+ backer reward, I'd be fine with a just a general special thanks note. Welp.

Re: What do you want in a Ocean World?

I don't know what an underwater level would look like in this game, but I trust Dave Wise and Grant Kirkhope to compose a great theme for it. Speaking of underwater music: something I really enjoyed in Banjo-Kazooie was how the underwater music in Clanker's Cavern would change as you reached down f...

I recall those text bubbles turned me off, too. I'm sure they will change it to something more BK-like, though. :)

Re: Movement Animations

I'm sure they'll have it covered before the toy box is released. I also hope they manage to make it feel realistic. Tip-toe and walking animations have looked a bit awkward in some games (Majora's Mask at the top of my head).

I don't know if the captcha has been set up, but I think the one that requires the user to drag and drop pieces to the correct position might be a good one.

Re: Platforming challenges: Rusty Bucket Bays engine room

Yes, please bring it back! I think the two only really frustrating things about this segment were the (from todays standards) clunky controls & that all notes got lost after Banjo's death. But I think we can agree that Yooka & Laylee will control MUCH more precise & that they don't brin...

They mentioned in the interview that the fact the Kickstarter campagins overlaps with E3 is NO coincidence!! I wonder what are they planning on revealing or doing for E3 So far we have a surprise included in the 64 bit package, some game related news later this week, and then the E3 plans!! I'm pre...

Re: A Level like (Lord Jub Jub from Zelda)

I had no issues with Clanker in Banjo-Kazooie, but Jabu Jabu freaked me the hell out as a kid. Animated flesh walls, living tissues, nasty tentacles... As long as they stay away from that. Then again, Clanker was mostly a mechanical creature, which, in my view, did add a fair bit of charm to him (as...

I intend to do that as soon as I get the money for it, if you intend to tell me that it's not detracted until it ends, I wish to direct you to my previous posts where I addressed that issue twice already. P.S.: Why am I not surprised that the first guy taking me seriously here is another Dragon? I ...
