Re: New Screens! AND THEY'RE AWESOME!

Absolutely love these new screen shots. The library one is amazing and fills my heart with glee. It's just so Banjo. It's gorgeous. I posted this about the art style in another thread... Totally agree with the OP. Though I think the art direction looks quite nice, I can't help but feel emotionally d...

Re: Boss Fights

How good would it be if the boss fights took part across the whole level? Imagine being chased around Treasure Trove Cove by a huge winged toucan or sumat. Hiding in nooks and crannies. Something happened to prompt the creature and the boss battles become bit interactive moments on the world. It'd c...

Re: Circus/Funfair - 'Spiral Mountain' Equivalent

This would be a really great idea. Laylee does make me think of a circus character. This would be a more memorable starting point than Spiral Mountain was. To be honest I want everything to be a bit more au naturale. Sorry, the grammar nazi in me has to tell you that this is written *au naturel. I ...

Re: Nintendo should REALLY think about locking this project up!

This would be just plain bad business for Playtonic. The Wii U has done pretty terribly. Why limit the game to the next-gen console that's struggling the most? This game has been hyped all over the place by many, many game sites so theres a good chance it will do quite well on many platforms. A lot ...

Re: Circus/Funfair - 'Spiral Mountain' Equivalent

To be honest I want everything to be a bit more au naturale. Lush environments that look great. Dense tropical jungles, huge woodlands in a click clock wood sense, sprawling lagoons and beaches, levels up in the clouds. Spiral Mountain was great as it felt like some unspoiled secret little world tha...

Re: How big do you want the worlds to be???

I'd really like Tooie-sized worlds if they can make use of the space. A larger world could mean more story and more personality, but could also mean filler zones and unnecessary footwork. I preferred Banjo-Kazooie's small, dense worlds over Tooie's large worlds full of locked doors and unsolvable p...

Re: Extended levels

Actually, it doesn't have to be walls. It could be nothingness. The idea of adding pagies into a book to reveal more of the world make sense. Imagine if for Treasure Trove Cove you instead unlocked Clampers or whatever the giant crab (was it a crab?) was (Edit: Nippers?) or if you got Blubber and h...

Re: Extended levels

I very much agree with your preference for the more open worlds of Kazooie. I hope expansions kind of just reveal a new area of the world or make it newly accessible. Those floating islands in the playground? Yeah, we could access that if we expand the world and there appears a solid path of clouds...

Extended levels

Is it just me that wasn't really keen on Tooie's levels? Everything kinda felt long corridors with doors that went into other corridors, even though I know they weren't technically corridors - its just they all felt like long stretches of path that you ran along in a way, with little doors off to th...

Shame. He looks dull.

Obviously many think it took hence the popularity of this thread.

Ah well, hopefully the look will grow on the rest of us.

Re: How big do you want the worlds to be???

Just a little bigger than Kazooie's worlds really. For example, if you take Rusty Bucket bay. The area is quite small, so double it.

I'd always rather have 'small' but full of life like BK, rather than big open worlds which have stuff in the corners and nowhere else.

Re: Yooka needs some clothes

I'm on the fence about it. I like how they look now, and I like that fan art with the Hawaiian shirt and belt. Can you get me a link to that? I just said it, because I think an open Hawaiian shirt would really fit Yooka... Also, why have a belt when you have no pants? http://i.imgur.com/Hh5SjcZ.png...

Re: What did people dislike about BK/BT?

I've never been able to play Banjo-Tooie as that frame-rate was so, so horrible. I also couldn't get past the fact that they changed Banjo's voice! That REALLY irked me! What was that about? He went from being jovial and fun to having this deeply gruff annoying grunt. they also took away Gruntilda's...
