Re: If the Switch Version Comes Later...

Eh, If they handle the port themselves, and design the game to take best advantage of the systems features, than thats enough for me. Extra content? meh. Make the game work well with the system? worth a bit of a wait. Switch can do a lot it seems, just take advantage of some of those unique bits, a...

Re: Buy BK back with Kickstarter money

It would be plausible to buy rights to make a BK game, but not plausible to buy the property outright. MS I'm sure would love how marketable a playtonic made B&K game would be if Yooka Laylee turns out. But they'd still want it to be a MS exclusive, and would probably exert other controls over t...

Re: Why isn't Yooka Laylee as talked about as Mighty No. 9 was?

Not controversial, and it looks good. Nothing to talk about, and nothing for fans to defend against. Don't let the fact that its not constantly talked about get you down, Its successful kickstarter I think is pretty good proof that its on a lot of peoples radar. For myself, and most of the people I ...

If the game is a success and this becomes an established series, it would be nice to get collectible figurines of some sort. I was really into amiibo collecting when they were released, but the artificial shortages and extremely short pre-order windows have greatly diminished my enthusiasm. I'm sti...

That's the entire point lmfao No its not. Its a totally different tangent. The only part of my reply that was on point was where I said "yes". Your entire point is that there are ultra rare amiibo. Yes? Yes. One of his points is that there are a lot of ultra rare Amiibo, making it very po...

arguments that amiibo are simply unattainable except through after market vendors at marked up prices https://www.reddit.com/r/amiibo/wiki/obtainability#wiki_obtainability_ranking http://www.ebay.com/itm/Villager-Nintendo-Amiibo-First-print-Rare-1st-edition-US-Version-New-and-Sealed-/131561425238?p...

Lol. Just stimulating the forums. I always wanted the game to be on as many platforms as possible. Geez. I expected some rage. I've been on forums far too long to let that get to me. people with such heated convictions are not usually worth disagreeing with, unless of course you happen to like bein...

Everything you said could also apply to making a Yooka Laylee figurine without the Amiibo branding, plus it wouldn't have the side effect of using development time that we're funding to make content on a game that we made happen delivered to us behind a paywall that the vast majority of us won't ev...

Amiibos only work on the Wii U; I don't understand how everybody would benefit from them regardless of the platform they use. I bet you have a Wii U, and I bet you collect Amiibos, so you're being biased. I have purchased so far one amiibo. Jumping right away to the conclusion that I must be bias i...

People need to feel that their version is the best. I want to see each version be the best that each of their hardware is able to deliver on. I really don't care if the Xbox version gets exclusive content that was relevant to the xbox version. MS owns B&K, if there was a way for the Xbox versio...

Re: The idea was shot down before, But I'm going to go ahead and push it again. Amiibos for Yooka-Laylee.

Motion controls with the remote and WiiU gamepad on the WiiU version is necessary I would actually rather they not. 99 times out of 100 it's a bolt-on gimmick that (at best) doesn't improve the game, or at worst actively makes the game worse. Super Mario Galaxy and the constant unnecessary controll...

I say that amiibos would be the absolute best option for exclusive content, because its the only type of exclusive content that you don't need to own the hardware for in order to own and enjoy. We do already have amiibo for other third party characters. Sonic, Mega man, and Pac-man, so clearly there...

Re: Which platform of choice would you be playing Yooka-Laylee?

But the European version is in English as well and is already out. I really don't get it. I THINK I KNOW!!! Its those darn cute wooly amiibo. Those things HAVE to take a lot longer to make than the normal plastic ones. They're probably spreading out the release in order to give time to make enough ...
