Re: Running out of Stretch Goals, let's make new ones

They should find out the cost of the Banjo-Kazooie IP and make that a stretch goal.

"$50 million - We buy back the rights to Banjo-Kazooie and make a straight sequel to BT, then go back and make Yooka Laylee too"

Re: How big do you want the worlds to be???

Big, but densely-packed. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore, everything has its place, etc.

Re: 64-bit bonus throwback world?

A cool way to do that would be to have Yooka and Laylee get there in a time machine.

Re: Inter-connected world and multi-game design in Ukulele?

this is probably what i want in the game the most the whole inter-connected-ness in Tooie just added to how huge the game felt as a whole, instead of a collection of levels with a hub it felt like an entire world with passageways and tunnels weaving everything together until it just felt almost sea...

Re: Thoughts on an Open World?

It's funny, when I was a kid Banjo-Kazooie was the closest thing to an "open world" game I'd ever played. I think that's one of the big things that got me hooked on it. The fact that you could just go anywhere you wanted, explore, go back and re-visit places you've been, wander around, wit...

Re: Grant Kirkhope wants the music to be “More Banjo-Kazooie than Banjo-Kazooie”

Another big part of those game's music was how it was contextualized. Go underwater and a lot of the instruments cut out, marimba comes into focus, etc. Climb a tall mountain and all you hear is wind, and the music slowly fades back in as you descend. Enter a cave and the tempo slows down. I REALLY...

Re: Do you like the scenery style?

From the current state of the poll, opinions are split 50/50 between the current look and a more natural look. So I say keep the current aesthetic, but make it feel grittier and more lived-in. One of my favorite things about Banjo was that, unlike every other kids game at the time (bright colours an...

Re: Yooka needs some clothes

I'm a little late to the party. I was originally in the "Open Hawaiian Shirt" camp. I had a feeling that was what he was supposed to look like, then I saw the post with Rango in it above and I realized why. Maybe a Hawaiaan shirt isn't the way to go for legal reasons, but Yooka is definite...

Re: Grant Kirkhope wants the music to be “More Banjo-Kazooie than Banjo-Kazooie”

No matter how much more Banjo-Kazooie the music is going to be, I know for a fact that these awesome composers will never let us down. Still, I want more Banjo-Tooie like music actually, but whatever, as long as I get my fix of Kirkhope, i'm down like a Compass at the North Pole. The thing I liked ...
