Re: What have YOU pledged? POLL

I had to get the Toybox+. I mean, the soundtrack alone was nice, but an opportunity to play around with our new heroes before the game is out? Too good of a thing to pass up! Honestly, I'm not sure I'll even last long enough to wait for that. But... I'm sure I'll manage somehow. ;) This is what I w...

Re: The demo

The Kickstarter description says it won't be of any area in the game. It will probably just be a playground to mess around in and get a feel for the game. I think that will be just fine. What the Bleedin’ Norah is a Toybox? Our Toybox experiences are designed to deliver hands on time with Yooka and ...

Re: Regarding Forum Font

Personally I just think Courier New is an ugly font. :P I find the fonts the code block uses in its CSS much nicer  font-family: Monaco, 'Andale Mono', 'Courier New', Courier, mono; I suppose Windows users may get stuck with Courier New anyways though I can't check at the moment. Hopefully it d...

Re: Have people forgotten Playtonic are not idiots?

It's not really discussion though. It's all just "it's not enough" or "it's wrong do it better". And I'm not saying they should close the forums, I'm saying they should close their browsers and just do their thing. Ah, I see. I'm sure they will make the game they want to make re...

Re: New Rare game confirmed for E3!

If by some chance it is Benjo Threeie, I think it'd be interesting to compare it with Yooka-Laylee as they face each other being presumably fairly similar games (Classic Colectathon I mean)

Re: Have people forgotten Playtonic are not ignorant?

I'm not sure everything is complaining. A lot of it is just discussion which is sort of the point of a discussion forum. Playtonic doesn't have to take to heart anything that is said here, but maybe they will agree with someone's argument during a discussion? In that case closing everything down wou...

Re: [Stretch Goals] Update: 1.2Million Stretch Goal funded!

Okay, at least they played it straight and didn't add loads of unneeded bars or have some lame slow re-mix to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LS4QHo0MlQo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iB7qHNrRX08 I think some of that can be attributed to a difference in audience. A live professional orchestra...

Re: Movement mechanics / physics / camera

They have more than a year to develop the game, I'm 100% sure they will improve the controls and polish everything in that time. What they showed for the Kickstarter is not more than a polished prototype and I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of what they showed will be modified or just gone f...

Re: [Stretch Goals] Update: 1.2Million Stretch Goal funded!

I think this may be a better comparison for what an orchestral version of BK would be like: https://youtu.be/wvqGD9vaCfY?t=136 Just not recorded with a camcorder microphone, and with professionals. I don't see anything wrong with this. It is still mostly just as upbeat and exciting as the original t...

Re: Orchestral Track

I'll trust Grant and David to make the great music they are known for making. Whether they are using a live orchestra or just samples the music will be the same, they will just have better quality. Better quality is never a bad thing.
