Nothing but black G-Strings.

Gotta look your best and make a good first impression.

Re: That one Rare title you hate?

DK64 is REALLY hard for me to replay. Last time I tried to make it through, I think I got to Fungi Forest before deciding I just couldn't do it.

But I could NEVER hate it. It was the first N64 game I ever owned! And it DOES have some cool stuff in it.

Re: 3D Platformer(s) You Have Played Before

Oh wow, that'd be awesome!

Sucks the dev commentary didn't get off the ground, I LOVE stuff like that. Especially for something like Twinsanity, with so many ideas and concepts that never made it into the game. I loved seeing those deleted storyboards with audio pop up on Youtube awhile back.

Re: Introductions!

YO YO WHADDUUUUUP? I'm Dustin, long time Rare/3D Platformer fan. I guess I don't have a whole lot to say about myself! I draw from time to time, art stuff can be found here . I'm also trying to get a webcomic up and running, but I really wanna improve and learn more art fundamental-y type things bef...

Re: 3D Platformer(s) You Have Played Before

3D Platformers are my FAVORIIIIITE. Let's see, besides all the usual Rare suspects... Jak and Daxter is one I really like. Not a whole lot to it, but it's nice and simple with a GREAT open overworld. I just love exploring all the levels and I love how each area is connected. Characters are fun, if p...

Re: That one Rare title you hate?

Yeah, I mean, don't get me wrong, I would TOTALLY go do it, if the controls weren't so wonky and crazy. But it was frustrating enough getting through these levels a first time!

I wonder if the hypothetical XBLA port would've fixed them...

Re: That one Rare title you hate?

I don't think there's any I truly HATE, but I couldn't really get into Jet Force Gemini. I mean, I tried, it started fun enough, and I liked going to all the different planets, the characters were cool, but the controls were just so janky , there was NO way I was gonna replay the whole game to find ...

I loved your work in Banjo Tooie, Mr. Bacon. Great, riveting stuff.

Yeah, 2016 seems like the safest bet. BUT I WANT IT NOOOW.

Re: Amiibo!!! OH MY GOSH !

Amiibos seem like a pretty unlikely idea, especially if this is staying multiplat, but I would DEFINITELY snatch them all up.

Turn it into a REAL LIFE collectathon!

Re: Physical Retail Release

I'd buy a physical copy, definitely preferred over digital. I love having a nice case with cool box art to go with it!

I'll have to drag my mom to the store and beg her to buy it for me, to recreate the Banjo-Kazooie experience back in 1998. It's the ONLY way!

Gotta go with the cartoony kart racer.

If Playtonic is looking to spin off other games with other characters, why not have them all get together for a race?

Re: Stop 'n' Swop done right - Connecting multiple games!

I think it's an awesome idea, but would the games have to be pretty similar in build? Like would a character with a certain moveset even be able to maneuver around this other game's world? They'd have to make sure each character from each game actually WORKS well in those worlds. If they could get i...

Re: Thoughts on an Open World?

Agreed, it definitely makes it feel more like an actual world that way, instead of jumping in, going "OKAY, I GOTTA DO THIS THIS THIS AND THIS THEN LEAVE", which is kind of how I feel playing the original Banjo Kazooie game these days. I mean I love it, but it kind of feels like going groc...

Re: Things that you DO NOT want in this game.

The LAST thing I want is colorful fun worlds and characters.

I hope there's not a lot of COLLECTING in this game, that'd be the WORST!

Re: Do you think there's more than 2 playable characters?

Probably better to just focus on the main duo for this game. Make them really polished and well done The more characters they add to play as, the more they gotta focus on THEM too.

Maybe some sort of hypothetical multiplayer mode would be cool, though.

Re: Thoughts on an Open World?

Tooie was already kinda open worldish, considering the size of the hub world and all the levels had entrances that made it look like they are still part of that world and not like separate section, and the interconnection between the levels themselves. This is DEFINITELY how I'd want it to be. More...

Re: What platform(s) do you want to see Project Ukulele on?

I would definitely get in on the WiiU (it just.... feels RIGHT), but I'd like it to be on pretty much everything. Let as many people play and experience it as possible! Wii U, XBox One, Playstation 4, PC, 3DS, PSVita, Gamecube, Sega Saturn, Gameboy Advance, Atari 2600, get it out there on EVERYTHING!

Re: Your Favorite Rare Games

Definitely the Banjo Kazooie games. I just LOVE the colorful, fun worlds, the cartoony characters, the humor, the music, everything about them! I'd say Banjo-Kazooie is easier to pick up and play, but Banjo Tooie is my favorite. The worlds are bigger, the humor snappier, so many more characters... B...
