Re: No blob shadows? 3D platforming needs them.

Just dropping in to point out the shadows in the new trailer . There seems to be a small round shadow directly below the characters, but only during platforming sections. If that's intended and I'm not just seeing things, then I think that's a great solution. yeah, the drop shadow seems to be there...

Re: The idea was shot down before, But I'm going to go ahead and push it again. Amiibos for Yooka-Laylee.

The one legitimate argument I see against it is exclusive amiibo locked content within the game. But this content is not expected by anybody to be substantial, and nobody will be disappointed if it is not. There are some examples of some games perhaps overreaching on how much content to lock behind...

Re: Only 5 Worlds in the game?

[quote=""] more than 5/quote]

so 6+. at least 6. DK64 had ~8 worlds (depending if you counted hub world, ect), and that game takes ~100+ hours on the first go, normally more.

Re: Wii U first person controls please?

I don't know if the first person gyroscope thing would work, but if you ever aim in this game they could do a similar thing to splatoon, a hybrid setup, with the analog stick aiming + the gyro sensor used to fine tune the crosshair. that would be pretty cool too if they go with a DK64 style shootin...

Re: there's a day night cycle

True! I initially thought that it's just character in the shade or what have you. :) But there's also that part around the first minute. It looks like a different location altogether - cave of sorts (at least with rocky walls, giant shrooms and green slime is the type of setting it evokes). Some of...

there's a day night cycle

just wanted to point this out, is day in some scenes, but later, its night in the same area, so it either means a day right cycle or similar to fungi forest where a action changed the time of day

Re: No blob shadows? 3D platforming needs them.

maybe they could have both? A darker blob shadow for platforming and usefulness, and normal shadows to not look weird in compairison to the environment. It just looks wrong to me. http://images.nintendolife.com/news/2013/10/preview_super_mario_3d_world/attachment/3/630x.jpg it makes more sense with...

ukulele's shooter?

all their platforms had a shooter of some kind, (BKs eggs, DK64s coconut shooter, peanut popgun, grape shooter, feather crossbow, pineapple launcher) so what will they do with this? do you think they'll have a gun mode like in DK64 or a shoot anytime thing like in BK? what sorptive things would they...

Re: Guess the number of backers

their twitter has 30,000+ followers, so at least more than that, banjo--kazooie sold ~2M, banjo--tooie sold ~3M, DK64 sold ~3.7M, so less than that. with how the internet has responded to a silhouette and an eighth of a face, I'd say 75,000+, maybe evan MOOORE. Tooie sold a million more than kazooi...

Re: Replay Value -- Ideas?

Challenges/achievements would be pretty easy to implement and could add a lot of replay value, e.g. [*]Time trials/speedruns - for individual levels or the entire game (or both!) [*]Increased difficulty - less player health/more enemy health, etc. [*]Permadeath - finish the game without dying! I ca...

Re: Project Ukulele Console-Exclusives?

imagine your playing DK64, you love this game, you've spent 90+ hours collecting every last one of the 3,500 small bananas, 40 banana medals, and 200 golden bananas, except the last banana, the last banana is in another console. you would need to spend hundreds of dollars just to get the console an...
