Re: Wishes For Twooka Laylee (Non official name)

I love Y-L (it'll likely be my Game of the year) but like anything else there is room for improvement in the sequel. Top ones for me are: -Y-L to have more attack moves. -A greater number of game worlds. -Bring in pads for flight. -Separation pads. -Ditch expandable worlds, just give us the full siz...

Shared Universe and Next Game Protagonist

I remember in an interview that some of the Playtonic employees stated that in addition to the shared Universe that the next game protagonist will have been a character who appeared in Yooka-Laylee. Can anybody find that interview? I can't seem to find it again.

Re: Early reviews

Basically the reviews are boiling down to two different, yet similar mentalities. -This is a retro 3D platformer, which is what I wanted = GOOD REVIEW. -This is a retro 3D platformer, I don't like it = BAD REVIEW. Backers and fans are no doubt going to love this as soon as updates are released to im...

Re: Jon Jafari (JonTron) and his role in Yooka-Laylee

So what racce is he discriminating against, and how? I reject the claim that races for humans even exist, from my understanding this is not a correct classification biologically, but he discriminates against Mexicans (wall), Arabs (the two failed immigration stops), blacks (with his rental policies...

Re: Jon Jafari (JonTron) and his role in Yooka-Laylee

I've still yet to be provided a shred of evidence that Trump is 'racist'. For any legitimate concerns that there may be about him, 'racism' is clearly not one of them.

Re: Jon Jafari (JonTron) and his role in Yooka-Laylee

I'm not reading through 8 pages of this, but what the heck does this have anything to do with the game (content, gameplay, story etc.) and why does it even matter to people? Who cares who mumbles what? Can't decipher one person from the next when it comes to the mumbling "voices." It has ...

Re: Jon Jafari (JonTron) and his role in Yooka-Laylee

Just to be clear. I don't care if everyone at the Playtonic studio holds liberal, or conservative political beliefs. I don't think it's necessary, wise, or fair to judge people based on such things. I simply don't agree with their approach in handling this situation at all.

Pandering to SJWs is not financially beneficial. Look at Ghostbusters.

Re: Jon Jafari (JonTron) and his role in Yooka-Laylee

Had to sign back into the forum to register my disgust at this decision to pander to PC SJWs. While I will still buy the game, this is a stupid decision on every level. Firstly, this is a VIDEO GAME. Leave politics out of it. Secondly, it's a dick move to cut the guy after he helped promote the game...

Just noticed something

The £15 backing option for getting a download code for a console version of your choice doesn't list anything about getting your name in the special thanks. Does it just go without saying, or do those £13k+ people go unthanked!

Re: Amiibo stretch goal?

Not a fan of exclusive stretch goals. Because people will be putting their money towards something they can't use. But that's true for some of the goals already. PC gamers won't benefit from simultaneous release on consoles, right? They won't lose from that either, but that's nothing of interest to...

Re: Why no boxed edition for console?

I want a boxed version on the Wii U too...

I haven't backed yet because I begrudge buying a digital version. I don't have much space left on my Wii U, and my Xbox One just gathers dust because it's a pretty terrible console.

Re: Would you welcome a "Start work on second Playtonic game" stretch goal?

No.

They're only a small team, they need to focus on this game.

The only exception would be if they released a 3DS centred accompanyment to this one (like a 2D platformer or something).

Re: Amiibo stretch goal?

Or, instead of doing a real amiibo, you do just like skylanders and make it available on all platforms. It wouldn't be an Amiibo then. They could just do with it what they did with Captain Toad, and have a little hide and seek pixel art YookaLaylee in every level for you to find. Something that doe...

Amiibo stretch goal?

Gavin Price mentioned that he'd like to have a Yooka-Laylee Amiibo. Do you guys think it could happen as a stretch goal?

Dare we dream?

So, Smash Bros are taking character nominations through the official website for future DLC characters for the Wii U/3DS versions. Could it hurt to cast a vote for our new Project Ukelele protagonists? It almost certainly won't get them into Smash Bros, but it couldn't hurt to get Nintendo to recogn...

Gamepad.

I'd have a clear screen on the TV, have the health bar, and all collectables displayed on the gamepad.

Nuts and Bolts was a good game.

It was not a good Banjo game.
