Re: If the Switch Version Comes Later...

They cancelled the Wii U version because it (quite frankly) is a lost cause and a waste of time, money and resources, but they were willing to make up for it by offering refunds and switch overs to other versions of the game. What other company/group would have done this? NOBODY. And it was mainly ...

Re: Amazon Germany lists March 14th release date

Obviously it won't be delayed to December 2017. The game is nearing completion. First hint is the announcement of Karn stepping back from his Engineer position at Playtonic. Him being a main programmer on the game, I don't think he would be quitting if the game wasn't very near completion, or even e...

Re: Reminder that there are going to be over 73,000 names in the credits

Oh shoot, we had to pick a color too? OK, I really need to find a way to review what I submitted for my backerkit info. I can't readily find it on the backerkit site when I'm logged in. Because if it's sorted by color in anyway, I have no idea what I put down. Green maybe. I hope it might've been g...

that they will be "on stage" talking about Yooka-Laylee. Anybody know if it will be streamed/recorded? I don't know much about how EGX works.

Re: Poll: What do you want to see more of?

I voted nothing new, but I think it would be cool to hear some Steve Burke music. Other than that, I saw enough to know that Yooka-Laylee will be an absolutely awesome game (not that I doubt it before), and I would be OK to see nothing new until the game's launch. But, it's probably not the best ide...

Re: Share Your Ideas for Animations! Idle, rolling, talking, and more!

They could do an animation everytime you collect a Pagie like in BK, but just don't lock the movement. If the player want to see the animation each time, don't move and watch the animation until it finishes. If they don't want to watch the full animation, moving the stick cancels it. There's probabl...

Re: Let's Talk Swimming

I don't like it very much, I prefer Banjo-Kazooie's method.

They always could put both in the game and make it switchable in the options.

Re: Toybox feedback & discussion thread (SPOILERS)

The only major thing for me was the swimming controls too. I think for little pools of water like what we have in the Toybox, the controls are not too bad, but if there's a "water" world with lots of swimming, especially when dealing with precise swimming like dodging underwater enemies or...

Re: Toybox - Released Today!

I didnt get the email yet, im hopeing I dont have to go through a long process to prove I didnt get it. If you go to your BackerKit page for Yooka-Laylee, you can get your keys by clicking the "Get your Digital Downloads" button. I haven't got my email either, but I was able to get my key...

Re: Toybox - Released Today!

I'm playing the Toybox now, but I keep rolling into a ball and can't stop it. Maybe it's a a problem caused on my end with the gamepad I'm using, but I've tried two and the problem persists. Makes the game a bit unplayable. Edit: Problem goes away when I use keyboard and mouse, but appears on both ...

Re: Pokemon Go

Like almost everything, hype dies off with time... It's only natural. For me, if I had cellular data and could actually use the app, it would be a nice excuse to take longer walks. I hate where I live, so I don't take long walks at all. With Pokémon Go I would have something to distract myself from ...

Re: Toybox release date!

How did A Hat in Time handled their alpha/beta? Was it through Steam? If so, that's probably how it'll work for Yooka-Laylee too. And it's not like Playtonic are unknowns just starting up in the industry, so I'm pretty sure it'll be easy for them to do it through Steam.

Re: Nuts and bolts 2.0.sans vehicles.

I see a similarity in the camera angle, that's it though. There's a similar-ish artstyle, but the images aren't all identical. In term of level design, N&B (without having played it) seems very, very empty, there's nothing at all to see there, except some trees there and there. In the YL image, ...

Re: Less Hope For Yooka Laylee?

It's one thing I don't like about Yooka-Laylee being a Kickstarter game. There's a kind of hatred, or discrimination, or something, about Kickstarter games, just because a few of them were failures. And, as always, people are putting everything in the same basket. People do this a lot, it' very anno...

You can still change your platform choice by contacting BackerKit support via your BackerKit page. I did it a few weeks ago, they changed my platform without any problem.

Re: Microsoft @ E3 coming in 15 minutes

As a non-fan of COD (only played one of the WWII one and COD4), the new one looks like a lot of fun. My problem is, I have no interest in multiplayer, so the campaign will need to be long and very interesting to be worth buying for me.
