I haven't heard a single thing about the DLC since it was first pitched in the Kickstarter. Is it still happening? Honestly I don't care one way or the other if they make the DLC or just move on to other projects; it would just be nice to know.

I'm not upset at all. I'm just starting to be able to admit that it wasn't a 110/100 beyond-flawless title. My few suggestions for improvement are still minor, and I wouldn't even call them complaints. Just ... room for improvement.

Nintendo is in total control of their show. They also only like to talk about things coming out soon.

Either A) Playtonic had no say in the matter or
B) It's not coming out soon.

And honestly, A happened regardless. Playtonic had no say in this.

I guess making their worlds feel more lived-in is a place for improvement in Twoka Laylee. I think the perfect counter-example to anything in YL would be Banjo Tooie. Everything in BT (despite some complaints that it's "big" or "backtracky") feels lived in, and Jolly Roger's Lago...

I assumed the DLC would be 1 world, but I hadn't considered 0. I'd be curious to see what the DLC is at ALL if it's not a world though.

His claim that YL is to BK as Might9 is to MegaMan is about as far off the mark as you can get. MN9 is a steaming pile of garbage that comes NOTHING close to the source material. Pointless, how so? You know a computer can look for information in other files right? It would be trivially easy for the next game to check your Yooka Laylee save folder for the presence of those pirate treasures.

Is that the really dark room where you need to use the firefly glow to navigate? Also every surface is slippery and require you to use the roll move?

Banjo Kazooie actually does have backtracking. Between Gobi's Valley and Freezeezy. Both levels require an element of the other.
