Conker does it and it works just fine.

Re: Tooka-Laylee Revel in End Credits

While I don't think Tooka-Laylee will come next, it will probably eventually happen.

I'd like the end-credits scene to work like Marvel movies work where it teases the next game. In this case, we may see Yooka-Laylee's story wrap up while Poopy the Platapus is just getting going.

That pink tree is also in other promo art. Maybe this is the same area except during the winter instead.

New Idea: Diddy Kong Racers?

While trying to think of a stretch goal that would be cool for the Kickstarter, I realized that this is a great opportunity for something that I've wanted to happen since even before the release of Banjo-Kazooie. The reintroduction of the minor Diddy Kong Racers. Everyone on this board seems intent ...

Re: Question regarding World Size and connection between them.

Oh, gotcha. The Mumbo pad is a great point. Someone mentioned either on here or the DKvine forum that they felt that Tooie suffered because of some checklist it had that BK didn't adhear to. Every level HAD to have a Mumbo hut, Humba Wumba, ect. Getting rid of that is the fix, I think.

Re: Question regarding World Size and connection between them.

I think one example of too much backtracking is in Terrydactlyland; the Styracosaurus mission where you have to help all of the Momma Styracosaurus' children out. One of them is in Witchyworld, and you need the train to get it to Terrydactyland. The other 2 are already there and just need Mumbo to ...

I'm not the one who voted for $800+, but I totally get that. I've been waiting my whole tween, teen, and even adult life for this.

Re: Poll: What Console you want this game?

The maximum of 2 consoles makes for a terrible poll. Even just one console max would be better.

Re: Kickstarter Date: May 1st!‏

This is pretty exciting. They've been teasing the main characters since the very beginning, so I imagine that they will be revealed. Additionally, Kirkhope's background music is more than likely a rendition of one of the themes of the game, so we'll get some musical information by default. What's th...

Re: Question regarding World Size and connection between them.

At the Rezzed showcase thing, one of the audience questions was something to the effect of "Have you guys learned from DK64's over-emphasis on having thousands and thousands of collectables?" They laughed it off a bit, but they did eventually let on that they planned on not letting Ukulele...

Re: What types of spin offs are you looking for?

After a good amount of micro-franchises emerging out of the Playtonic universe, I'd love to see a story-heavy RPG or 3D platforming game starring the leads from all the previous games. It seems appropriate that a similar system to the Marvel Cinematic Universe would use a similar release/crossover s...

Re: Poll:Best Kickstarter Reward?

I mistook the meaning of "best" before I voted. I just voted for things that I wanted personally the most. For that reason, I voted for the voice-over, the credits thing, and the N64 cart. If this is "best" as in "what I think the Kickstarter should have," then maybe no...

Trains man. Train stages are always the best. Paper Mario: TYD's train stage is wonderful. Something about the aesthetics of a train cart really works for me.

Re: Banjo Kazooie Cameo?

I really hope Price wasn't just shooting the poo-poo when he said that. His idea for a cameo is too good to just not have.

I do hope that he is willing to extend his thinking to Diddy Kong or something on the Wii I version. It would feel a bit unbalanced.

Does Rare or Nintendo own the minor DKR characters?

These characters are Drumstick, Timber, Pipsy, Bumper, and I suppose Wizpig. These are all characters that Rare created to be part of their own series, but never capitalized on. Does Nintendo own them as "Donkey Kong characters" or does Rare as "extended Rare universe" characters...

Re: I'm interested in a horror style level.

I think the best levels have a thematic basis AND a practical basis. For example, horror would be the thematic basis here where a practical basis is something like a haunted house (Mad Monster Mansion) or an old circus (Witchyworld). One of the keys to making a good level basis is finding the right ...
