Re: Banjo-Kazooie is in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate!

You can play against your amiibo digital character and training with it. They learn from your moves and become very dificult to fight on later levels. Your amiibo will store that data so you can take it to a friends house. But they don't unlock charactes, when you buy the character you automaticall...

Re: Banjo-Kazooie is in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate!

I cried so hard!

Now that shows everyone who said Banjo-Kazooie was not possible that THEY were wrong! And that the hope was never lost!

I can't imagine how happy could Steve Mayles feel right now with 2 of his characters making into Smash!

Re: Interesting tidbit from Y-L 2-year article

I wouldn't say it is Banjo-Kazooie BUT imagine if Playtonic comes up with a nice racing game a la Diddy Kong Racing AND Rare let's them use Banjo as a selectable character? I could totally see that being a possibility as it would be a guest in another game similar to its Minecraft appearance. I gues...

Re: Yooka-Laylee: 64-Bit Tonic coming soon!

I think option A is a good choice. Please try not to use the word "soon" I think it gives the wrong idea of what to expect. A good example of option A could be the Smash Bros Ultimate DLC announcement. They always say something like "we can confirm that Smash Bros DLC is in developmen...

Re: What draws you to 3D platfromers?

Exploring, memorable characters with different clever puzzles tied to them. I so like when puzzles are interconected or when you clear a puzzle it opens a subsequent one. I should make an enfasis on clever puzzles and memorable characters. (A background story or why that character ended up there in ...

Re: Save Files ALL Corrupted

There is an update since like a year ago that adressd several bugs and controlling issues. I would suggest checking and downloading the updates before attempting to replay the game. Also try out first to install the game in another computer just to check, maybe your computer is missing something in ...

Were you playing the updated version before this happened? Maybe they already patched it but if you played without the update this could have happened.

Re: Lessons Playtonic might learn from Yooka-Laylee...

Not enough "Oh ! Okay, let's go !" moments Yooka-Laylee is... Predictable. It nearly never surprise the player. Everybody mentioned the "race through the loops" that is a recurring theme, but it's not the only redundant part. Every level has a transformation, an arcade machine, ...

I like the effort on trying to revive the forums! Been starting to check them more often because of info like this starting to pop up! Glitterglaze Glacier question: Why didn't any character or area in this world have any reference to a christmas theme? And I think time could have olayed a major rol on thia one but. Why are there not ao much NPC'S in this world? It would have been nice to see out of place characters dealing with th...

Re: "PENNY"

I did try asking Playtonic about who this "Penny" is on Twitter, but they just liked the post and didn't give any information about it. So I tried asking Steve Mayles as he sometimes replies to questions about games and characters, but he didn't reply. :( Im pretty sure we will see more o...

Re: Lessons Playtonic shouldn't learn from Yooka Laylee

I'll say, do not copy paste characters and make them the only kind in all the book-world.

I know it may be though to do several characters nowadays but I think character variety and uniqueness is one of the key elements that made Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie so iconic.

Re: What other world themes would you like to see?

I would like to see a super hero world were most of the characters are "not so super" and they would need to show their powers to their fans. So if there is a giant rock blocking an entrance you go in stealth mode and somehow blow the boulder (with TNT maybe) and all the fans will be amaze...

Re: Yooka-Laylee's first anniversary!

I still think they will release some sort of DLC... eventually . But speaking of stretch goals, I saw someone in the comments section on the Yooka-Laylee Kickstarter page say that Grant Kirkhope apparently confirmed there was no longer going to be an orchestral soundtrack (which I'm not surprised a...
