I literally CRIED when I saw that Banjo-Kazooie reveal trailer, I can't quite explain how insane I went when I saw it. It was similar to my reaction to Ridley last year... Also, I'm glad that the Heroes from Dragon Quest are also going to be playable in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as well. Banjo-Kazo...
I found YL1 to be overall too easy, so I'm hoping they really up the challenge level for this game. I think a lot of people forget this, but Banjo-Kazooie wasn't really about "difficulty", at least in the way your thinking off. It was more about exploring worlds at your own pace, which Yo...
Rayman Origins was awesome and fun as heck, so I'm not sure what you're talking about with this "too basic" nonsense. I think you might be confusing Rayman Origins with New Super Mario Bros. There WERE secrets in Rayman Origins , specifically secret paths and passages that lead to locked ...
What I like about this is that Chris Seavor went out of his way to say this isn't going to be a carbon-copy of Conker's Bad Fur Day, and that it's going to be something in the same spirit as the game, it just won't be as blatant as other "spiritual successors".
1) More QA/testing. Before the patches sorted it all out, this game had a number of issues. Yeah, this feels like the most important task Playtonic needs to cover in the future; first impressions mean a lot, and even if things do get fixed down the line, it's better to catch these bugs and glitches...
For anyone interested, Playtonic posted a Q&A about the 64-bit tonic on their website: https://www.playtonicgames.com/64-bit-tonic-a-qa/ Here's the article copied and pasted: 64-bit Tonic: A Q&A Posted on 12 Nov 2018 We recently released a teaser trailer for the 64-bit Tonic, which is comin...
This was unexpected, it looks like great fun! I'm actually a little relieved that it's not another 3D collectathon, I think Playtonic REALLY need to regroup on that concept and make sure the sequel to that concept improves on the original's mistakes/failures. Besides, they themselves said they weren...
Smash is a fighting game first and foremost, so they often rearrange songs in a way to fit this theme. I agree that having the original DK64 tunes would've been great (like the original DK rap), but you can't tell me that the rearrangements of Crocodile Cacophony and Gangplank Galleon aren't amazin...
To be honest, I could never find the courage to dive down and save Clanker either, at least at first. Also, kid me never figured out that Bubblegloop Swamp's portrait puzzle can be reached by diving into the water at the entrance of Clanker's Cavern and going through a passageway there... Similarly,...
To be honest, when I heard about the 64-mode, I was expecting things to look more... blocky, as opposed to more blurry. Can't help be a bit disappointed by this.
I'm excited about this, but I'm more curious than anything. Rare used to be in development of multiple games at a time, but does Playtonic really have the time and resources to do that, especially when they still need to deliver on certain things promised in the Yooka-Laylee Kickstarter? That fascin...
Hi Folks! I'm Dave from Dreamprism, the creator of this graphic novel. I've noticed some concerns about the project and thought I'd jump onto the forums to see if I can address any directly or if I can answer questions. It's really important to me as a huge Yooka-Laylee and classic Rareware fan tha...
Kickstarter, huh? ...Eh, I'll try not to be cynical about this, but it's a shame that they couldn't use the funds from game sales to support this. Also, it's weird that Laylee looks more feminine here when in-game, there's nothing distinguishly masculine or feminine about either Yooka or Laylee resp...
ever done or organized any of this? It's taken Yacht Club Games until... well, probably until next year to follow through on all of their Kickstarter promises, and there's clearly a lot of work and detail that goes into these kinds of things. Besides, just because you're done with Yooka-Laylee does...
As of five days ago, anyway: https://twitter.com/Daley_Kong/status/1049291736474943489?s=19 Daley Johnson used to be the community manager at Rare before jumping ship to Playtonic, so count that among the many other Rare alumni that are part of this team! I was curious whether or not she'd be an Adm...
Sorry but it's been too long now. If they are still working on small Kickstarter goals now then something is seriously wrong. It's taken as much time to create some extra content as it did to create the game in the first place. I hope they are working on something else I am done with yookalaylee. W...
Goals not met yet: - N64 shader (which is a Tonic) - Developer walkthrough - Orchestral score - DLC (free for backers) (Am I forgetting something?) I'm curious to see what the developer walkthrough will look like, and if they'll comment on the reception to the game. I'm legitimately curious about w...
The hype around Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and seeing people want Banjo & Kazooie playable made me want to revisit the first two games. I'm in the middle of replaying Tooie, but replaying Banjo-Kazooie reminded me of how I not only love these games, but that the first one might just be one of my...
