Re: Lack of support for GOG Version

Hi Slender, We’re working on a fix for the GoG versions and this should be out very soon (perhaps even today). Sorry for the inconvenience! Regarding support, currently only the extended camera zoom and Japanese/Chinese languages aren’t there. Everything else is in parity with Steam and console func...

Re: A removed world?

Those totals were never correct as they included the demo world (i.e. A stripped down version of Tropics) on top of everything else.

This was a video card problem that won't be in the final release.

Re: Not very happy

Hi all, Sorry for the lack of replies on here from the Playtonic side - we've all been really, really busy finishing off the game and finalising fulfilment plans for the Kickstarter. Almost there! Scrubber: I'm sorry to hear that you feel let down by our communication. Game development is constantly...

Re: Making the Switch

Playtonic originated with a lot who worked through the limitations of the N64. Now they can't work through the limitations of the Wii U? Even if it is as simple as turning down the resolution or reducing the frame rate, I would bet no one would be opposed to releasing the "Beta" version o...

Re: Making the Switch

Hi all, Sorry I've not made it to this thread until now - understandably we're receiving a lot of questions on a lot of different platforms. The decision to transfer from Wii U to Switch was not easy for us and cancelling the Wii U version was certainly not what we wanted to do. We spent many months...

Re: Yooka Laylee playable at EGX 2016!

Thanks for posting that! If anyone can't watch, there's lots of new things in that footage: + It seems there are collectibles that help extend your health and power meters. + Trowzer has multiple locations! + The plant transformation has a spray attack. + You can become invisible at will! (I didn't...

Re: NEW TRAILER - Gamescom 2016

Could very well be a reference! And I love his design; in fact, I love every character's design that I've seen. - Concern: Looking at all the footage, objects seem to appear out of thin air sometimes... I'm not sure why. Draw distance? It makes the game look unpolished. I hope Playtonic can fix tha...

The 3D Quills you see in certain shots are from an older build. They're all sprites now!

Re: Edge magazine material analytics

In all the screenshots I saw, the Quills were all facing the camera at the same angle. Are they sprites, like the Notes etc were in BK and BT? This might sound weird, but, I REALLY hope they're sprites. I love the sprite billboarding effect, honestly. Also, 200 Quills per world is excellent. Seeing...

Re: NEW UPDATE: Raising The Curtain

Hi all, Glad you're all enjoying the new info, but please don't post magazine scans on here. I know you're all keen to see the new screens and details, but posting scans is the equivalent to Edge posting a torrent of our game - a bit illegal! They need to make a living too. Please buy the magazine -...

The small update was the hour+ podcast we did with DK Vine. Nothing compared to what's coming.

Hi guys. Apologies for the lack of information on this. I appreciate it might be frustrating for some of you but there's nothing more to report since our last update: we're still aiming to release the Toybox in 'early 2016'. It will still be released many months before the final game and totally exc...
