Re: If there's a beta (Early Access), would you play it?

I would jump at the chance to interact with this title in any way shape or form before it's released. I can understand how people wouldn't want to play it so that they get the "full" experience when it's eventually released, but I would feel like I'd had a fuller experience by playing the ...

Re: Day/Night Cycle?

I'd like to see a Day/Night cycle, but I'd like it to be linked with another mechanic and not just initiated for the sake of having one. The typical one, particularly for platformers, is that certain activities/collectibles can only be completed/collected in either day or night. Take that a step fur...

Re: Microsoft apparently dedicating 2015 to celebrating Rare

Hmmm, I still believe that Rare, or what's left of them, have the creativity and the talent to produce great titles. I can see them "celebrating" Rare's success by releasing re-configured Rare titles with a HD face-lift onto XBLA (for a small fee, of course ;) ). All except Goldeneye, cos ...

Re: Things that you DO NOT want in this game.

Got to agree with a lot of the previous posts on the back-tracking. Some is great. Finding that thing that you know goes with the other thing, that moment of putting 2 & 2 together, it's like crack to a player like me, but Tooie was excessive. Please, no casual enemies that are purely there to s...

Re: So, it gets on Wii U. Which controller?

Agree, Gamepad should be first-intent, but with as much functionality as possible. Maps, UI, inventory etc. Maybe the motion controls could be for flying/swimming/driving/projectile weapons? There really aren't many games that have made any use of it whatsoever, other than being a secondary platform...

Re: Should this game involve flight?

100% Yes on flying! Flying's more fun than running, swimming, crawling, rolling, jumping or driving. Banjo-Kazooie, you learned to fly unusually early on in the game, but it was such a major mechanic, it made sense. As flying in games goes, it was slow though. Flying as the bee in Click Clock Wood w...

Re: Hardest Level/Task of platformers you've played?

GREAT question! Hardest level is (I say "is" as I still haven't completed it) DEFINITELY "Champion's Road", the very last course in Super Mario 3D Land on Wii U. Hardest task was "Beaver Bother" from Donkey Kong 64. Never come so close to putting a controller through a ...

Re: Nintendo should REALLY think about locking this project

To answer the main question of the thread, yes, Nintendo should REALLY think about locking this project up! I feel like they got a bit cocky after the success of the Wii, rested on their laurels, happy to churn out the next instalment of their major sellers on home and hand-held consoles, but runnin...
