Re: Wii U GamePad

I had an idea earlier to include a Bottles Revenge styled multiplayer with the Gamepad's asynchronous gameplay. I think it could work really well and be very fun.

EDIT: Didn't see Waverunner's post. Great minds think alike.

Re: Low Polygon Graphics Option

Eh, I dunno. It's too much work for something that isn't really worth it. They'd have to basically re-do the entire game... I'd rather have extra worlds or gamemodes. Also, this isn't the same as Star Fox 64 since Nintendo just ported it from the N64 (it didn't require even a fraction of the work th...

Re: Re imagining BK worlds in PU

I've seen some ideas of a throwback world that makes an homage to the N64 era. Something like that could work well, but I'm not sure it's enough to sustain an entire world. It could be a sub-world though.

Re: Genders of the main duo

All this gender ambiguity talk is reminding me of Birdo... Maybe, somthing like that could be done in PU. The gecko could have more feminine features, but still be male, while the bird could have masculine features and be female. I prefer that the characters should have the "Flaky paradigm.&qu...

Re: Final Boss

I'd like to see a fade-out that catches us by surprise. When we think the final boss is completely and utterly defeated, he/she just jumps up and transforms into an absolute monstrosity, seemingly impossible to defeat. Either that or maybe the main henchman/woman betrays the boss and steals his/her ...

Re: World Theming

I guess a better example would be Magicant from the Mother series. A world where the basic rules of reality are challenged, where stuff just doesn't make any sense, where we would have to take a differet approach to complete our objetives, where crazy things would happen. And of course a world with ...

Re: Expanding Worlds: How? + How Many Times?

I agree with Taylor, I'm leaning more towards absolutely nothingness, the white spaces would make the worlds very ugly the first few times you visit them. Plus it would make the expansions very expected (by that I mean, you will know where the world will expand into), and would ruin the surprises. A...

Re: World Theming

Heh, considering the jungle level screenshot has similar looking waterfalls, I could easily imagine a Fountain of Dreams world. But I wouldn't want the floating island waterfall thing to be in every level... I meant it more in the sense of a world based on dreams and magic, not the whole floating w...

Re: World Theming

I'd like to see a world inspired by the Fountain of Dreams (such a magical stage): http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/kirby/images/7/77/FountainOfDreams.png/revision/latest?cb=20071206154746&path-prefix=en http://www.ssbwiki.com/images/thumb/0/01/Fountainofdreams.jpg/250px-Fountainofdreams.jpg ...

Re: Project Ukulele: Everything We Know (So Far)

Just to put things into prespective, I'm fine with DLC, I'm fine with microtransactions, I'm fine with time gated gameplay, I'm fine with subscription fees, I'm fine with free-to-play, I'm fine with day one DLC, I'm fine with games getting cancelled, and I'm fine with annaul sequels, but the two bu...

Re: Please make 'Project Ukulele' for Wii U too!

1. Imho they ( Smash & MK 8 ) feature an enviroment with much less polygones/detail and mediocre texture resolution. Just imagine a whole world (with modern drawing distance) filled with plants and objects as round and detailed as the jungle we are seeing on the Project Ukulele screenshot. And ...

Re: Title for the game...

The problem lies in the word ukulele which has four syllables (yoo-kuh-ley-lee), which when combined with other words just makes the title longer and less fluid. Just look at banjo-kazooie it has waaay less syllables, which leads to a more fluid sounding title (ban-joh kuh-zoo-ee) 5 is waaay les th...

Re: Publisher, In Case There's A Physical Retail Version Of

Okay. I have a question that has been bothering me for quite a while: can indie studios also be a self-publishing company, up to the point where they can make physical retail copies of their game? They can make retail copies of their games, although it costs a lot of money. And the retail copies wo...

Re: Teleport Pads

If Banjo Tooie is anything to go by, teleport pads would be a necessity. However, a Landmark system like Xenoblade Chronicles would be a better option imo (especially if the worlds are even bigger than BT). EDIT: For those who don't know, the landmark system works like this: when you go exploring t...

The devs should just focus on the core game for now. Perhaps in a future game somthing like this will happen, but not right now.

Re: Title for the game...

I like the idea of Uku & Lele (or Leilei/Leilie), it's a simple but effective title, it also sounds really fluid. Bongo & Ukulele, while it sounds neat doesn't achieve the same simplicity or fluidness (it's just too long). The problem lies in the word ukulele which has four syllables (yoo-ku...
