Re: Things that you DO NOT want in this game.

Things I don't want in this game: 1. Multiplayer: I just want a 3D Platformer that I can play solo, don't waste time and money adding a pointless multiplayer to it. 2. DLC: DLC is just a way for developers to grab money after the game is released. Just make the full game, take your time so it's 100%...

Re: Question regarding World Size and connection between them.

I think one example of too much backtracking is in Terrydactlyland; the Styracosaurus mission where you have to help all of the Momma Styracosaurus' children out. One of them is in Witchyworld, and you need the train to get it to Terrydactyland. The other 2 are already there and just need Mumbo to ...

Re: Question regarding World Size and connection between them.

I'm all for big worlds (as long as they aren't empty), but it can lead to the "labyrinthine" problem. I think most of the Tooie levels did a good job at being big, but not confusing. But take Grunty's Industries...that is the definition of a labyrinth. Also backtracking becomes more of a p...

Re: Game Scale

I understand. But I think something around EVERY corner, in EVERY nook, under EVERY tree would be too much. I think it is Very rewarding finding that awesome secret behind a rock, after there being nothing behind the first 5 rocks, you know? I love that. The great thing about secrets and Easter egg...

Game Scale

What do you guys think the scale of the game should be? I mean this both in terms of size, and length (lol). I would like the game to be long. Nowadays there are games that cost $60, but only have 4-6 hours of gameplay and you feel like you didn't get your money's worth. On the other hand there are ...

Re: World Theming

I was thinking about the world themes again, and also how Project Ukulele will have expansive worlds and it got me thinking about another great 3D Platformer (actually not made by Rare surprisingly) Glover! If you have never played Glover it has realms with multiple levels within them. Each realm ha...

Re: What system(s) would you like to see this on?

I understand people with Wii U's wanting the game to be on that console, but all the people saying they want it exclusively on Wii U....why? Why wouldn't you want the game to be played by as many people as possible to ensure future games? There are plenty of people who love 3D Platformers, but don't...

Re: How many collectibles?

I think Banjo Kazooie had the perfect balance, but I definitely never felt like DK64 had too much. BK is my favorite game of all time and 3D Platformers my favorite genre. I don't understand when people complain about too much in DK64. The whole reason that game rocked was because it did what BK did...

Re: World Theming

I think what the original games did was make the worlds feel full. I actually don't think that the world themes are what made them so special. When you look at a game like GTA V the world is enormous, but so much of it is static. Large areas are impressive, but I'd much rather have small areas with ...

Re: World Theming

I mentioned in another thread if they had a world that was an homage to 3D platforming's roots. It would be cool if there was a world made of 64 bit graphics. Even better is if the two look like they were n64 characters for the duration of being in that world. I had an idea like this a while back. ...

Re: Who wants Project Ukulele to be released on Xbox 360?

I think it would be great if it were on as many consoles as possible, so more people will be able to play it. However, personally I just want it on the PS4. for me the PS4 makes the most sense because it (along with the XBOX ONE) are the most powerful systems right now (not counting PC's) and Sony ...
