Re: Toybox feedback & discussion thread (SPOILERS)

The controls and overall feel of the game are very nice, they're pretty much exactly what I was expecting from a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie :D I loved the wind parts too, I can't wait to see what kind of challenges we'll see in the final game with that mechanic. Also, that robot is hilario...

Re: Team17 Partnership

Great news. :) I'm not too fussed about a physical copy, but I guess it could be really profitable if parents see a cute looking game on the shelves and are not sure what to buy their children for Christmas. The partnership frees up a lot of time for more game development. I'm glad Playtonic seem c...

Re: Tooka-Laydee!!!

Is it bad that the thing I enjoyed the most was the gibberish in the trailer? xD Not that the game looks bad, but that intro was just too good, hahaha!

Re: Tim Stamper asks whether we want to see footage from Project Dream

I haven't checked this for a long time, but from what I can see, Tim has basically been teasing us about giving new information, but never actually did so?

Re: Playtonic Lock In

I pledged 20 "measly" pounds on the kickstarter, but my country's currency is so bad at the moment that that amount turned into 100 reais, which's a pretty high amount. Nice to see another Brazilian around here =3, you can blame dilma and the PT on that one (If you want) But everyone on p...

Re: Playtonic Lock In

They just tweeted out about the forums about 30 minutes ago so maybe we'll see some new users. And while he shouldn't generalize... if someone hasn't backed why the hell would they even be here? We're here to "watch our investment grow" so to speak. If you're interested enough to check th...

Re: Playtonic Lock In

I'm surprised Playtonic hasn't advertised the forum much, too. I only learned about this forum because they mentioned it on that one presentation about Yooka-Laylee where they showed the first few screenshots :P

There surely are many things they could so with such a unique logo! I look forward to seeing what they pull off.

Re: Fan Art!

Hey everyone, here's a little something I made this afternoon! http://orig08.deviantart.net/ba4f/f/2015/165/2/0/paper_trowzer_and_laylee_by_noctalaty-d8xahnd.png I thought since the worlds are located in books, a Paper Mario style could fit :) Hope you'll like them (and more are to come, I still ha...

Re: New Reveal - Grabbing the Ghoulies & Reddit AMA

This is no problem at all in theory; collaborations are not uncommon. The only thing that confuses me is whether the ghosts are five unique characters, or if they act more like a species. I.e. the yellow Jinjos in the Banjo games are not the same character, but instead belong to the same species/co...

Re: New Reveal - Grabbing the Ghoulies & Reddit AMA

Wow, I love the design of those ghosts! And I really like the idea of each of them requiring you to do something different to collect it. I can already imagine some very cool puzzles coming out of that, I can't wait to see what's in store for us :D

Re: Languages

Yeah, I dunno... Haha. But anyways, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian are mutually intelligible, so if there's at least a translation of Spanish, fans can do one for Portuguese and Italian. Spanish and Portuguese are mutually intelligible to a certain degree, but I wouldn't say the same thing about ...

The terrible secret of Donkey Kong Country

So, I just came across this article: http://kotaku.com/corrupted-donkey-kong ... 1707472714
And the ending of that whole thing is truly... not something I expected at all
I wonder what the developers would have to say about this? XD

Re: Some Issues with Yooka-Laylee I've noticed.

I see, I guess it makes sense for it to be meant to be him saying "first person shooter" instead of "eff pee ess". But it just seems a bit odd to me to use the abbreviation while pronouncing the actual full term :X My mind instantly reads the individual letters when I see "F...
