Re: Which color did you choose?

Green. If we don't get a new skin for Yooka, you can blame me.

Re: Transformations

Using transformations in other levels sounds fun. They had that in Grunty's Revenge. They didn't really go crazy with it, but that could be really fun. Maybe you'd have to unlock the transformations in specific levels, but then you're free to use them anywhere. Also, like I mentioned before, what wo...

Re: Character design?

I can see what you're saying about Yooka's design being bare, and I'm glad everyone's being so civil here! That said, his design is growing on me, and I honestly think he looks fine next to the other mascot. How about next to Banjo-Kazooie? That would be the real trick.

Re: Running out of Stretch Goals, let's make new ones

I would also like to own a Yooka-Laylee plushy. That would be pretty cool.

Also, if we make it to two million, we could have the crew take Sakurai hostage and force him to add Yooka-Laylee to Smash Bros. What? I can dream...

Re: Is Laylee a fruitivore, or an insectivore?

I think Laylee's big nose is a reference to leaf nosed bats, who use their weird noses to echolocate.

These include vampire bats, but there's a pretty wide variety of what the group eats. So there's still some room for possibility.

Re: Power ups for Laylee

Yooka doesn't have any sort of backpack to "hide" Laylee in during transformations, so maybe those sequences would be twofold, with both characters getting to take part.

Instead of just turning into a washing machine, you would turn into a washing machine + a dryer attachment.

Re: Well hidden secrets

You hit the nail on the head with the "trying to do the impossible" attitude. A modern example where I still try to do that sometimes is Mario Kart 8. Though the scenery is so appealing, I know I won't actually get to explore it. But maybe, if I could somehow slip past Lakitu... There's ac...

Re: Running out of Stretch Goals, let's make new ones

I'd actually be down with an official Yooka-Laylee Amiibo, if that somehow happened. I probably wouldn't use it much, but I'd totally buy one. Also, I agree that the whole world expansion thing will probably make having only 5 worlds feel more justified, but as soon as I hear the quantity of anythin...

Re: Vote: Yooka VS Laylee - Who's Better?

They both have appealing designs that are based on animals that I like. It's a tough choice, but I'm gonna go with Laylee (just by a nose!). The fact that she's actually quadrupedal like so many cartoon bats are not seals it for me. It's also nice to have another female protagonist who they didn't g...

Re: Types of collectibles

Spoiler for unnecessary silliness: Ok, so the way I see it, is this game should have DK64's Tag Barrel system, and 16 characters. There are seventy-trillion mandatory banana-equivalent objects in each level, and each character can only collect the objects of their color. Also, the only Tag Barre...

Re: Language Of The Game Characters

So it's confirmed to be BK-style mumbling, and I'm pretty happy with that as-is. So, anyway, we've all asked what the main characters LOOK like (psh, minor details), but a much more important question would be: what do they individually SOUND like? Incoherent muttering? Gurgly cooing? This could det...

Re: Formal Bosses in Project Ukulele

I'm leaning toward formal bosses, but I can respect the idea of only running into a boss once in a while so you're not always expecting it.
Either way, I hope they keep the silly boss titles.

Re: Weird dream I had! Rare related!

I used to have dreams about exploring new areas in Banjo Tooie (once in awhile I still do :ugeek: ). You see, when I was a kid, I loved exploring the game, but there were a few places I could never figure out how to get to. One of these was the Banjo-only gate in Terrydactyland's Stomping Plains. Ba...

Re: World Theming

What if there was a survival-horror game-based world that was designed to be as tense and frightening as possible while still being hilarious? It could make fun of a bunch of survival horror tropes and cliches, with mutants, zombies, zombies that are actually mutants, mutants that are actually zombi...
