Re: As A Kickstarter

The only other kickstarter I've helped is a Documentary about Midway. They aren't done yet but they've been about equal in getting monthly updates. The big difference is just about every update has had an extra backer only bonus, small videos showing clips from interviews they've been conducting. It...

Re: camera auto-adjust

There really needs to be an option to disable camera auto-adjust. It's VERY disorienting when playing with keyboard and mouse. I agree. I played with controller but when jumping on platforms I wanted to look down to get a better feel for where I was at. As soon as I jumped it auto adjusted to where...

Re: Donkey Kong 64 Worlds

Crystal Caverns. It had my favorite song and I think it had the least barrels in the game. Most of the bananas were actual challenges within the game world like banjo and didn't rely on just pressing a button and then jumping in a barrel to beat a minigame. I personally think it was the most well th...

Re: E3 trailer by Playtonic

The trailer is insane! :D I'm so excited for this game, and don't care at all about the delay. But I still can't get behind 5 worlds. Especially when the repeatedly said "more than 5 worlds". So honestly it's kinda false advertising is there isn't at least 6. Dont h8 pls Shipwreck Creek. ...

Re: E3 trailer by Playtonic

Don't think I've heard anyone talk about the underwater section of the video. Looks like it's something industrial and with the honey combs it has to have something to do with Capital B. Do you guys think it's a whole level based around his corporation, or do you think it's part of the hub world? If...

Re: Could Yooka-Laylee finally beat Donkey Kong 64's record (please)?

The main problem I disliked about the collectibles, is they felt all the same. Hit this switch to open this thing, and touch a barrel to play a mini game. Now the mini games were not bad themselves, but the fact they got recycled was lame. I'd rather have enough that it feels like a lot, but not so...

Wow there's a limit to how many quotes deep you can embed? Maybe they should fix that first. Anyway, I agree with thr others with stopping the problem at its root. Multiple threads of the same thing annoy me.

Re: List 'o Ideas

Dward never ceases to make me laugh  I got a question for you Dward. If you could add one thing (or idea if you wanna call it that) to yooka-laylee, what would it be? A weather system, in which every time you enter a world the weather is completely different changing the landscape of the level...

Your Year In Gaming

So it's been a while since Yooka-Laylee got backed and we seem to have exhausted ourselves talking about it. However, we're all gamers here and there's been a lot of stuff coming out this year. My question is: how was your year so far? What games surprised you? What games let you down? Etc. I'm abou...

Re: List 'o Ideas

Well he was talking about environment changes and pagies in the hub world along with grunty switches. When you think about it, the instruments in DK64 (besides being a kill everything attack) were pretty much just contextual platforms that you had to learn to use. And guns were just a way to hit a ...

Re: List 'o Ideas

Has anyone mentioned the Grunty Switches ? In Banjo-Kazooie, there was one of these in each world. Activating a switch would reveal a jiggy in the current world or somewhere within Grunty's lair. But the part that really fascinated me was how some of the switches would permanently change the enviro...

Re: Games completed in one sitting

I played VVVVVV in one sitting. It's not long at all though. Does Binding of Isaac count? All mine are super short. I have wanted to do a whole day Marathon of banjo-kazooie and other games but never got to it

Re: Thoughts on the £2M DLC

Maybe once the game is finished they will have a poll of some sort to ask us what we'd want from DLC. Be it more stages, minigames, funny hats, etc. I think that would be the best way to do it and ensure they didn't start making it until they finished the game and didn't remove anything from the gam...

Re: How much does the $3M funding impact the game?

They did say that they were making the game regardless of the kickstarter so I'm doubtful it was made to keep it afloat. From the kickstarter it seems like they wanted money to hire more people that they could then have work on the game to make it bigger and better. I assume some money could also go...

Re: All interviews to date. [LAST UPDATE: 5th of June]

I heard more of the fire side of Hailfire Peaks in Jungle World than Freezeezy. Like the marimba part is almost note for note from what I remember at certain places. We were talking about his track for the ice / glacier world. dotEXE linked to it. Oh I missed that part. My b. Although I completely ...

I heard more of the fire side of Hailfire Peaks in Jungle World than Freezeezy. Like the marimba part is almost note for note from what I remember at certain places. Am I the only one very excited to hear his new music? While I love his banjo music for both games I feel like having that exact same k...
