Re: Yooka-Laylee 2

I felt the same way. I don't know about sales but I'm sure YL will get a sequel eventually. It won't be anytime soon because they are working on the port for the switch though.

Re: We Seem To Still Be Waiting

Games take time to make, and for a while now Nintendo has been tricky for third party developers to work with. The worst thing they can do is rush it.

Really liking this game and I love that they made a snake the good guy main character, and adorable to boot.

Bummer. I didn't know about this until now. Hope something comes of it anyway.

Re: GameXplain: Super Mario Odyssey Discussion Brings Up Yooka-Laylee

Time is an important factor. If I understand right, Super Mario Odyssey was made in 4-5 years, in an eviroment where the people involved knew what to expect and could afford taking risks. Yooka Layle was done in two years, with bakers that were players wanting to play a game rather than professional...

A Nightmare on Elm Street (NES)

https://dailydead.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Nightmare-NES-ad.jpg I always forget that this game was developed by Rare. Please compare and contrast the synopsis on that image (taken from this review ) with the actual final game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBTqURvr_jE Something must have ha...

Re: The Donkey Kong Land games

I'm considering getting these games for my old 3ds. I wish I was able to buy the originals, though. Don't know why they had to put this limitation.

"A Rare Retrospective" by The Nostalgic Gamer

I know the name "The Nostalgic Gamer" may sound a little generic in this day and age full of internet personalities, but don't let that fool you, I guarantee you his videos are all about being informative, and very well researched and made, like documentaries. He has made 10 videos coverin...

Things that made you laugh

For starters the aristocratic corplet's dialogue. I liked how he politely berated the duo and his own kind. I hope to see more of him in the future.

Re: How The Chameleon met the Bat

My own personal theory, going with the meta theme of the current game, is that Yooka might be a rookie or failed 90s platformer hero. The kind who was a Sonic-like guy with an attitude, spinning moves, and a disturbingly human-like or human "girlfriend" (who inevitably leave him on the ne...

Re: Yooka-Laylee Collector’s Boxie

So beautiful ! I'd prefer to buy an amiibo though, smaller but a lot less expansive. I'm undecided, do you think they'll release an amiibo later (yeah I know they need to release the game on switch first)? How long before this one gets sold out ? I'm not really into amiibos so I wouldn't know, but ...

The game is out and for what I've seen the wait was wortth it. They really nailed the style and it seems to be hard but in a good, challanging way.

Re: Cuphead - coming side-scroller inspired by 30s cartoons

Finally!! A date!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5iGwE0XJ1s

It looks beautiful.

Between this game and Bendy and the Ink Machine I can see early Golden Age animation (especially Fleischer's) getting a boost in popularity.

Edit: Whoa it's been a year.
